Sidon - Saba:
The city of Sidon and the Palestinian camps in Lebanon has witnessed a general strike, paralyzing activity across various sectors.
This strike came in response to a call from the "Global Campaign to Stop the Genocide in Gaza," an international coalition of civil society organizations, in protest against the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and what they described as "massacres committed against civilians."
According to the Palestine Today News Agency, shops and private institutions closed their doors, and private schools and civil society organizations suspended their activities.
Public schools, however, opened their doors as usual, but attendance was low, reflecting a near-total calm on the city's streets this morning.
Local media reported that solidarity movements will continue, with a popular march expected to depart from Elia Square to Nejmeh Square in Sidon at 5:00 PM.
The march will denounce what they describe as "the enemy's war of genocide against Gaza" and demand urgent international action to halt the aggression.
