The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine condemned on Tuesday the Israeli enemy authorities' decision to close UNRWA schools in occupied a;-Quds, considering it a new episode in the war of extermination waged by the occupation against the Palestinian people.
In a statement issued Tuesday, it considered "the enemy's decision to close UNRWA schools in occupied al-Quds a flagrant violation of Palestinian children's right to education and of basic human rights."
It stressed that "the Zionist decision not only obstructs the educational process but also represents a systematic attempt to dismantle the Palestinian social fabric, targeting the future of entire generations." It noted that this decision constitutes a new step in the "Nazi" occupation's plan to end UNRWA's work, which deals a blow to the so-called international community and violates UN resolutions.
The Islamic Jihad Movement held the international community, concerned parties, and governments that still maintain relations with the criminal occupation, responsible for turning a blind eye to its crimes.
This morning, the movement stated: On Tuesday, Israeli enemy forces raided UNRWA schools in Shuafat refugee camp, north of occupied al-Quds, and issued them with 30-day closure orders.
