Sana'a - Saba:

A meeting in Sana'a, chaired by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Bajaala, discussed the implementation mechanism for the $100 million Emergency Cash Transfer Project for the years 2025-2026. The project was funded by UNICEF and the Social Welfare and Disability Funds.

The meeting reviewed the disbursement criteria for the target groups and the project's geographic scope. Minister Bajaala emphasized the need for emergency interventions to take into account the humanitarian dimensions of the crisis in Yemen and to avoid being influenced by external political pressures. He praised UNICEF's role and called for expanding its programs to serve the most vulnerable groups.

For his part, UNICEF Cash Transfer Project Manager Gianluca Bono affirmed the organization's commitment to completing the data and providing the necessary support. He commended the ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs to ensure the project's success and achieve its humanitarian objectives.
