Palestinian Ministry of Health: Hemophilia patients in Gaza suffer from severe shortage of essential medicines
[Thu, 17 Apr 2025 18:50:33 +0300]

Gaza - Saba:

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 180 hemophilia patients living in the Gaza Strip, out of a total of 550 patients in Palestine, suffer from a severe shortage of essential medicines.

A statement issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, coinciding with World Hemophilia Day, explained that the shortage of medicines for these patients increases the risk of serious complications, such as internal bleeding in the joints and muscles, which could lead to permanent physical disabilities. The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has increased the need to provide the necessary medicines and treatments to ensure a dignified life for these patients and enable them to lead their daily lives safely.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that more than a year and a half after the aggression, its repercussions continue to affect thousands of patients among the Palestinian people, including hemophilia patients, who face unprecedented challenges in obtaining necessary healthcare.
