Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova eliminated compatriot Mira Andreeva from the Stuttgart Open, Germany, after defeating her in straight sets in the round of 16.

The match lasted only one hour and five minutes, with Alexandrova dominating the match and winning 6-3, 6-2. With this victory, Alexandrova achieved her fourth victory this year against a top-ten player in the world.
