Liverpool Football Club officially announced the renewal of the contract of its Dutch defender and captain, Virgil van Dijk, for two years.
The English club said in a statement published on its website: "Captain Van Dijk signed the contract to ensure his continued association with the Reds for the coming seasons, nearly seven and a half years after joining Anfield."
