The Social Nationalist Party condemned the heinous crime committed by the US aggression, targeting the Ras Issa oil port in Hodeida province, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of civilians.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Social Nationalist Party indicated that this barbaric act is merely the latest in a series of crimes committed by the US against the resilient Yemeni people.
The statement noted that this targeting represents a clear violation of international law, which affirms that targeting vital infrastructure on which the civilian population depends is a form of collective punishment prohibited by international law.
It also violates the elements of war crimes included in the Rome Statute, the Fourth Geneva Convention (particularly Article 53), and a blatant violation of the principles of distinction and proportionality in international humanitarian law, which criminalizes indiscriminate attacks that lead to the killing of civilians because they constitute a violation of the fundamental right to life, a right guaranteed by all divine laws and international laws.
He stressed that this crime, like its predecessors, will not be subject to a statute of limitations, and that its perpetrators must be tried internationally and held accountable before the justice of the Yemeni people and before history.
He noted that the Yemeni people will not expect false justice from international institutions subservient to American hegemony, and that they will avenge the blood of their martyrs and make the powers of arrogance pay a heavy price.
