Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament Tan Sri Dato' Johari Bin Abdul has called on legislative bodies around the world to adopt a unified and common position in support of Palestine, in light of the ongoing Zionist violations.
Bin Abdul's remarks came on Friday on the sidelines of the founding meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Group in Support of Palestine, held in Istanbul with the participation of representatives from 13 countries.
Bin Abdul emphasized that Malaysia has never recognized the existence of "Israel," pointing to the grave injustice suffered by the Palestinian people.
He emphasized that Malaysia will continue to call on the international community to exert greater efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
Bin Abdul highlighted the important role that parliaments around the world must play in supporting peace initiatives alongside executive authorities.
He pointed to the repeated violations of the ceasefire by the Zionist enemy in Gaza, the most recent of which occurred last March, describing it as a "very unfortunate situation."
It is worth noting that the parliamentary meeting, hosted by Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, aims to establish a global parliamentary solidarity network to support the Palestinian people in the face of the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist enemy with American support.
