Sana'a - Saba:

The General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities condemned the US aggression targeting the vicinity of the Old City of Sana'a, which is registered on the World Heritage List.

In a statement seen by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Authority indicated that the aggression massacre in the Farwa popular neighborhood and market in the Sha'ub district claimed the lives of dozens of innocent civilians and caused severe damage to homes in the vicinity of the ancient historic city, the oldest inhabited city with a history dating back to the fifth century BC.

The statement emphasized that this massacre once again reveals the extent of the hatred, confusion, and bankruptcy of the barbaric aggression, which continues its crimes against the Yemeni people and their cultural and civilizational heritage.

It pointed out that this heinous crime, and other crimes committed by the American aggression in Yemen, are full-fledged war crimes that do not expire with the passage of time, and a blatant violation and transgression of all international and humanitarian laws, conventions, and norms that criminalize and prohibit the killing of innocent civilians in their homes and the targeting of sites of global cultural, civilizational, and humanitarian heritage.

The statement emphasized that the continued violations and massacres committed by the American aggression against the Yemeni people and their ancient cultural and civilizational heritage will not break the will of the people and their determination to support Gaza and the Palestinian people, who are subjected to crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation by the occupying Zionist enemy with American support.

The Authority called on international organizations concerned with protecting the world's cultural, civilizational, and humanitarian heritage, primarily UNESCO, the international community, and the Security Council, to assume their legal, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities and work to stop the crimes of American and Zionist aggression against the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples and the targeting of Yemen's cultural heritage, which is part of the world's heritage.
