The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that the statements made by a number of Israeli government ministers, in which they called for the imposition of "Israeli sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank, represent an extension of aggressive settlement policies and a desperate attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
The movement said in a statement: "These statements reflect the colonial and fascist mentality that controls the occupation system and constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions."
