Gaza – Saba:
Hamas on Thursday called for a practical and effective international and human rights position to halt the ongoing aggression against health organizations in the Gaza Strip, which has put 37 hospitals out of service, the latest of which is al-Durra Children's Hospital.
Hamas said in a statement, "In continuation of the occupation's policy of destruction against the health sector in Gaza, over the past few days it has targeted the Martyr Mohammed al-Durra Children's Hospital east of Gaza City, completely putting it out of service."
It explained that this crime, which targeted a medical facility dedicated to treating children, adds to the occupation's long record of flagrant violations of international laws and humanitarian conventions.
It noted that this targeting confirms the fascist entity's insistence on continuing its war of extermination and forced displacement plan, by destroying the health infrastructure and deepening the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.
Hamas added in its statement that 36 hospitals and medical centers have ceased operations as a result of direct targeting by airstrikes and Israeli army fire.
It called on the international community, the United Nations, and relevant international organizations, most notably the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, hold the occupation accountable for its crimes, work to break the siege, and ensure the entry of medical supplies, relief materials, and basic necessities. For life.
Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the Martyr Mohammed al-Durrah Children's Hospital, east of Gaza City, was out of service after sustaining significant damage following an Israeli attack two days ago.
