Gaza - Saba:
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed that Gaza is without cash liquidity, and that Israel is using the financial blockade to deepen the suffering and devastate the population.
It noted that Israel has prevented the entry of any amount or type of cash into the Strip since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza.
The Monitor explained that the severe shortage of cash liquidity has created a stifling humanitarian and economic crisis, the severity of which is escalating day by day, as part of a systematic effort to eliminate any ability to survive in the Gaza Strip.
It added, "Residents have been forced to resort to the black market to obtain cash in exchange for high commissions that drain their remaining livelihood capabilities."
The watchdog pointed out that Israel's direct targeting of the financial sector in Gaza represents not only a physical assault on the economic infrastructure but also a central tool in its policies of starvation and mass destruction of the population.
The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor emphasized that deliberately depriving the population of access to their basic financial resources constitutes forced subjection to inhumane living conditions.
It emphasized that Israel is deliberately imposing coercive living conditions that lead to the slow and systematic destruction of the population and constitute an act of genocide.
The HR monitor called for effective international pressure to compel Israel to lift the financial blockade on Gaza and allow the unfettered flow of cash.
