Senior Chinese leaders pledged on Friday to boost economic support and counter "bullying" in global trade, in a veiled criticism of the massive tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump.

The world's two largest economies are locked in a high-stakes trade war that has unsettled markets and prompted major manufacturers to rethink their supply chains.
