US Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed that if the war in Ukraine continues for several more years, it could escalate into a nuclear war.
In an interview with blogger Charlie Kirk on Monday, Vance said, according to the Russian news agency TASS on Tuesday, that "the mainstream media has a strange idea that if the situation continues for several more years, Russia will collapse, Ukraine will regain its territory, and everything will be as it was before the war."
He continued, "But that is not the reality we live in," noting that the continuation of the conflict could lead to catastrophic consequences, including "the collapse of societies" and "nuclear war."
