Dhamar – Saba:

Dhamar branch of the National Committee for Women concluded on Sunday a four-day training workshop aimed at enhancing the administrative capacities of its staff in the field of strategic planning.

At the closing ceremony, Deputy Governor Mohammed Abdulrazzaq emphasized the importance of such workshops in developing the skills of women affiliated with the Committee and equipping them in areas like strategic planning. He highlighted the pivotal role women play in national development and social progress.

He also praised the Committee’s efforts to empower women administratively, economically, and socially, and commended Al-Hekma University for hosting the workshop and offering a 50% tuition discount to several participants, enabling more women to pursue higher education.

For her part, Dr. Ashwaq al-Mahdi, head of the Committee’s Dhamar branch, noted that the workshop aimed to build the capacities of sub-departments and improve overall performance in serving women. She regarded the workshop as the launch of the third phase of the Women’s Higher Education Support Project—one of the Committee’s programs carried out in coordination with relevant institutions to build women's capacities across all sectors.

Trainer and Statistics Office Director Salah Al-Sayyadi explained that the workshop covered essential knowledge on the Committee’s roles and activities, the fundamentals of public administration, and wise planning aligned with leadership directives. Participants also engaged in practical exercises on preparing plans and writing quarterly and annual reports.

Fatima Salah, a women’s representative at al-Hekma University, stated that hosting the workshop and reducing tuition fees aligns with the university’s goals of serving the community and encouraging women to pursue education.
