Tehran - Saba:
The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the Zionist entity's plan for a complete military occupation of Gaza on Friday evening as "a plan to complete the genocide of the Palestinian people."
According to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei considered the decision to occupy Gaza and forcibly displace its residents further evidence of this entity's premeditated intention to commit genocide in occupied Palestine, calling for collective action by Islamic countries to assist the Palestinian people.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized: "The threat to occupy the entire Gaza Strip by the war criminals who rule the historic Palestinian land—who are wanted by the International Criminal Court and whose actions are currently being investigated by the International Court of Justice as genocide—is further clear evidence of the Zionist regime's premeditated intention to ethnically cleanse Gaza and exterminate the Palestinians, a matter that must be taken into account by the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice."
Baghdaei also described the continued complicity of the United States and some other Western countries in the crimes of the Zionist regime as "shameful," emphasizing "the legal and moral responsibility of every government and the United Nations to stop the genocide and heinous crimes being committed in occupied Palestine."
Baghdaei, referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran's official request to the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, called for "an immediate emergency meeting of the organization," urging collective action by Islamic countries to help the oppressed Palestinian people.
