SANA'A March 28 2024 (Saba) - Hodeida governorate, like other Yemeni governorates, represented a true icon of steadfastness in the battle of confrontation with the countries of the aggression coalition and their agents of traitors and mercenaries, all of whose fronts and plans to control the governorate failed.
The enemy's mercenary militias tried desperately on the battle fronts, backed by the greatest military support on the ground, air, and sea, to seize Hodeida and commit crimes against its residents in various districts.
These militias presented various images of multiple examples of disgrace, disgrace, decadence, and immoral practices within the series of crimes with which they stained its faces and sinful hands, committing the most horrific violations against humanity, terrorizing the innocent, and crimes of rape, perversion, and moral deviation.
Hodeida was subjected to hysterical hatred and criminal motives, with the aggression militias escalating and launching thousands of raids on civilians, and the destruction of facilities and service facilities, wherever you turn, if the governorate represents a strategic target for the enemy, as a vital governorate, it plays a prominent role in the arrival of food supplies through the port of Hodeida, which represents the lifeline for the Yemenis.
- Countering enemy coalition plans
Since the start of its aggressive war on Yemen, on March 26, 2015, the criminal alliance carried out a series of crimes against land and people in Hodeida governorate. It deliberately destroyed all capabilities, by bombing homes, schools, roads, farms, hospitals, water and communications projects, and everything related to the necessities of life, out of the belief that it all of this will subjugate the people of the governorate.
In conjunction with the war of aggression and the failure of its military objectives, the enemy turned to the internal front in an attempt to disrupt it, penetrate the fabric of society with material temptations and rumors, and plant infiltrators to weaken morale and create counter-polarization, the awareness front was too large to be caught by the plans of an enemy that was met with extreme Yemeni toughness and force.
- Encircling and rallying
The escalatory paths of aggression against Hodeidah Governorate constituted an incentive for the people of the governorate to unite the internal front and embark on the Nafir campaigns, which contributed to strengthening steadfastness.
Over nine years of national steadfastness, general mobilization continues in the various districts of Hodeidah, to confront the conspiracies lurking in the country.
Indicators of the victory of the internal front in Hodeidah Governorate are evident today in the declaration of mobilization, and the readiness to implement all the leadership’s decisions and options in support and advocacy for the Palestinian people within the exceptional and honorable position of Yemen.
General mobilization campaigns, continuous mobilization activities, large-scale solidarity events and marches in all Hodeidah districts, enrollment in military courses, and the boycott of American and Israeli goods are clear messages to the enemies of Yemen to continue steadfastness and continue to confront the plans.
- Justice of the issue and religious identity
The front of awareness among the people of Hodeida governorate strengthened by the exposure of the plans of aggression and foreign conspiracy targeting the homeland and the identity of its people, which made them more committed to the principles of faith and religious values, and to stand united against the project of neglecting the homeland and against mercenaries and agents, and not to be drawn into their goals and depravity in conspiring against the country.
The people of the governorate, with their stances of national faith and the sacrifices they made, along with all the free people of Yemen from the various governorates, embodied an honorable image of the rightness of moving to fulfill the responsibilities placed on everyone in light of the fateful confrontation the nation witnessing against the forces of global arrogance.
Popular cohesion and rallying alongside the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council, and missing the opportunity to attack the societal fabric, represented a victory front for a comprehensive outcome.
While the repercussions of the aggression, the siege, and the suffering of the Yemeni people continue, the identity consolidated among the people of the governorate by continuing to remain steadfast in these repercussions and confronting disinformation campaigns as an approach to enhancing societal awareness of the dangers hatched against the homeland by enemies in an attempt to strip away the Yemeni identity.
Since the beginning of the aggression and escalation, the directorates of Hodeidah Governorate have witnessed great momentum in holding events that carry connotations of faith identity, consolidating their concepts in the conscience of society, and highlighting their implications in repelling the invaders.
- Features of facing development and humanitarian challenges
The leadership of the local authority in Hodeidah Governorate joined forces to confront service and development challenges and take a practical approach to address part of the severe damage caused by the aggression and its mercenaries in various aspects of life.
The implementation of the majority of these projects, with the tireless efforts of the governorate’s leadership, represented a major challenge in mobilizing all financial resources in order to complete them according to different time stages, some of which focused on addressing the damage to the service side, as a result of being targeted by aggression and its tools.
Efforts are also continuously focused on addressing the humanitarian repercussions resulting from the aggression and siege, for nine years, which have negatively affected water, health and electricity services.
In addition to the deprivation and marginalization the governorate experienced in light of the absence of the role of previous governments and the lack of interest in strategic projects, and creating opportunities to transform society into an active element in development, and eliminating unemployment, the aggression came to compound the tragedy by systematically destroying services and housing and displacing its people.
Despite the continuation of these conditions, the Supreme Political Council, the caretaker government, the local authority in the governorate, and the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs are making extensive efforts to confront all challenges by finding solutions.
While there are many images of steadfastness and official directions to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Tihami Coast and their need for electricity, especially with the high temperature in the summer, these two needs represented the most prominent aspect of the priorities of the state leadership’s attention.
Among the pile of challenges and difficulties, extensive efforts by the matrix of government plans and programs to implement the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council have resulted in an effective translation in support of a series of steps adopted by the state.
At a time when more than 500,000 families in Hodeidah live on traditional fishing sources in the Red Sea, amid difficult conditions, after the aggression caused catastrophic repercussions on thousands of fishermen, the efforts of the concerned authorities continue to implement projects to develop the fishing sector.
- Yemen will be stronger in the tenth year
On this occasion, the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) surveyed the efforts of the leadership of the local authority in the governorate in strengthening popular steadfastness, paths to confront challenges, and the opinions and impressions of academic and legal figures about the implications of the National Day of Resilience in the Face of Aggression.
The governor of Hodeida, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, pointed out that the importance of commemorating the National Day of Resilience lies in recalling the steadfastness of the Yemenis and urging them to continue consolidating the values of giving and jihad.
He pointed out that commemorating this occasion, for the ninth year, in light of the continuing difficult repercussions of the aggression and siege, is a message to the aggression coalition that the Yemeni people will not be defeated, no matter how much suffering and pain.
Qahim noted the military development and missile industry that the Yemeni people have achieved during the years of aggression and unjust siege, which were not in the mind of the enemies who believed that Yemen was a weak state that would not reach this level.
- Yemeni cohesion has become stronger
For his part, the first deputy governor of the governorate, Ahmed Mahdi Al-Bishri, stressed the Yemeni steadfastness, the extent of its ability to face all the difficulties and circumstances, and the level of the people’s rally around the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the armed forces.
He pointed out that the Yemenis today have been able, with the passage of nine years, to withstand the consequences of the repercussions, crimes, and siege of the forces of aggression, in light of the failure of the international community.
Al-Bishri touched on the importance of understanding the contents of the speech of the leader of the revolution, al-Sayeed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi on the National Day of Resistance in the Face of Aggression, and the necessity of mobilizing efforts to strengthen responsibilities towards a pivotal stage of action against the tyrant of global arrogance.
The first deputy governor of the governorate also confirmed that the legendary popular cohesion has become stronger today, and represents a message to the forces of aggression the people of Yemen are continuing, alongside the revolutionary leadership, the political council, the army and the armed forces.
- Falling pretexts for aggression
In turn, the President of Hodeidah University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Ahdal, deplored the continued shameful international silence towards the suffering and oppression of the Yemeni people after the fall of all the pretexts that America used in the aggressive war against Yemen.
He explained that nine years of aggression and siege revealed all the plans of the aggression coalition countries and their declared goals of restoring so-called legitimacy to power, and demonstrated the extent of the hatred that the American and Saudi regimes have toward the Yemeni people.
Dr. Al-Ahdal pointed out that the aggressive war, plans and crimes that the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition has pursued and continues to pursue over a period of nine years have not undermined the steadfastness of the people of Yemen.
He stated that - despite the war crimes and holocaust that Hodeidah Governorate was exposed to using thousands of raids, internationally banned weapons and missiles, the destruction of all necessities of life, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents - this did not discourage the steadfastness of its people.
- An attitude of steadfastness and confrontation of traitorous agents
While a member of the Shura Council, Abdul Rahman Makram, pointed out the Yemenis, on the cusp of the tenth year of legendary steadfastness, remember what they exposed to during nine years of the effects of aggression and siege, crimes and violations, economic war, and affirm their adherence to their just cause.
He explained that the primary goals of the aggression are to occupy Yemen, control the people, and confiscate their freedom and independence, and that the aggression against the Yemeni people is an American aggression launched by America through its regional tools.
Makram stressed that the position of the Yemeni people in the face of aggression is one of steadfastness and confrontation, which stems from their belief in the right position.
He saluted the legendary steadfastness of all free Yemenis in all fields and arenas, despite the killing, destruction, siege, media attack, fifth column activity, and the plan to penetrate the internal front.
The member of the Shura Council also praised the great victories of the army and the armed forces, the great role of the security forces in achieving security, and the contributions of military industrialization personnel, especially the missile force and unmanned aerial vehicles.
