Speech by Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah Protect Him)
on the Latest Developments in Palestine
7 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1445 AH, 20th December 2023.
I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan, the outcast.
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth, and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, Messenger, and Last Prophet.
O Allah, confer Your salat and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad as You conferred Your salat and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad's good companions and all Your righteous servants and mujahidin.
Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
{'O believers! Whoever among you abandons their religion, Allah will replace them with others who are loved by Him and love Him. They will be humble with the believers but firm towards the disbelievers, and they fight in the cause of Allah, fearing no blame from anyone. This is the favour of Allah. He grants it to whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing'}[Al-Ma'idah 5:54]. Allah, the Most High, the Almighty, speaks the truth.
For seventy-five days, the Zionist, Jewish, Israeli enemy continues its savage, criminal, barbaric aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, committing the most horrific and heinous crimes that bring shame to humanity. They are crimes of genocide and mass murder of children and women, the young and adult, where thousands of Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed, with the majority being children, women, and innocent civilians.
Such mass murder crimes committed by the Zionist enemy through various means are gruesome and horrifying crimes. These means include the use of bombs and the complete destruction of homes with their inhabitants from the Palestinian people inside, deliberately targeting them with internationally prohibited weapons and with the most destructive and lethal bombs supplied to them by the Americans. They also include killing with brutal, criminal, horrifying, and savage methods, such as running over Palestinians with tank tracks and killing them through this means and with such a criminal method. Some other means include burying people alive, as occurred even in recent days, sending police dogs to maul the wounded and the sick to death, martyrdom, while they are still alive, and cold-blooded killing of many civilians, after detaining them or targeting them in the streets and roads. This is not to mention killing by starvation (the extermination by hunger) through severe siege and prevention of the necessities of life.
They target the Palestinian people with all means of extermination through killing with all brutal, criminal, and horrifying methods and through severe starvation, intense siege, and the denial of food and medicine. Moreover, they have even made hospitals declared primary targets for their ground and field operations, announcing military operations targeting Al-Shifa Hospital and then the Indonesian Hospital. This is also the case with other hospitals, which were declared as military targets, as if they were military bases. This is an unprecedented behaviour and conduct. Normally, countries, nations, and factions at war would declare military bases, strategic sites, or targets of military importance as their objectives in warfare and military operations. However, the Israeli enemy shamelessly declares hospitals as targets for its military operations, killing, and destroying. When it reaches the hospitals, it targets the wounded, the patients, the medical staff, and the nurses. From there, it ruthlessly and savagely targets civilians. Then it presents this as a military achievement and boasts about it, proudly showcasing its heinous, blatantly evident crimes. And this is consistent with all its other crimes.
Its war is clear and evident, primarily targeting civilians. Most of the bombing and targeting done with bombs, rockets, artillery shells, and tanks has aimed at the homes where the Palestinian people reside. It has made them a primary target, attacking them with the most powerful bombs, rockets, and artillery shells available to it. It targets markets and gatherings of displaced people, including schools, as witnessed in several UNRWA schools. It no longer cares about the places where the Palestinian people seek refuge, considering them under the protection of the United Nations—it doesn't care about that. It shamelessly targets them either with aircraft or artillery. This happens repeatedly. Such crimes are extremely heinous.
The result of its brutal, savage, and horrifying crimes is hundreds of martyrs from the Palestinian people every twenty-four hours, including men, women, children, young, and adult. Most of the martyrs are children and women. This continues day after day with utmost brutality. Moreover, when it fails in a battlefield confrontation, it resorts to indiscriminate shelling and intensified targeting of civilians. So its war is a war against the Palestinian people in Gaza as a whole and against civilians, whom it has targeted in their homes and destroyed their neighborhoods with explosive belts, through which it targets entire districts and numerous residential areas, aiming to completely demolish them. In addition, it continues the severe siege, which has led to deaths among the Palestinian people due to the use of starvation and denied access to medications, causing immense and horrifying injustice and extremely brutal criminality.
The cases of targeting have even included infants and premature babies (those who were born prematurely and require medical attention in hospitals). It has showed no mercy or compassion towards them and acted with complete brutality and a criminal disposition. This reflects the true nature of the Zionist Jews, their beliefs, behaviours, and attitudes. They are a mass of hatred, extreme hostility, and criminality, completely devoid of any sense of humanity, ethics, or human feelings.
In those crimes, which are clear, well-known, and circulated by the media in all their details, America is complicit. Since the beginning of this aggression that started seventy-four days ago on Gaza, America has been directly involved since the first moment. The Americans have sent their military experts and advisors to directly manage the Israeli operations. They are the ones who plan, supervise the execution, and monitor the progress, directly contributing to the implementation of those crimes and attacks. They have supplied the Zionist enemy with thousands of destructive bombs that are used to target civilians, the homes of the Palestinian people, and Palestinian residential neighborhoods. The Americans have provided it with internationally prohibited weapons, including white phosphorus bombs, which are used to target children and women. It is using American bombs and internationally prohibited weapons to kill children and women in Palestine. The Americans have also provided financial support in billions of dollars to fund those military operations. They have also sent drones, reconnaissance aircraft, and surveillance aircraft over Gaza to contribute at the level of direct information gathering. They have provided all forms of cooperation that make them a partner in what is happening in Palestine, in the horrifying and terrible crimes and violations against the Palestinian people—against children and women in Palestine.
Despite all of that, America has provided political support and offered protection in Palestine’s regional surrounding. It has also directed threats to all countries in the region against any cooperation with or support to the Palestinian people. That is because America wants to ensure favourable conditions for Israel to commit whatever heinous massacres and crimes it wants without any objection, hindrance, or even disturbance from anyone. It wants to provide Israel with a perfect opportunity and to engage in its crimes without anyone intervening, objecting, or providing any assistance to the Palestinian people, starting from their neighbors. The neighboring countries of Palestine were initially the target of American communications (whether by the US president or others) and visits by American officials who told everyone, ‘Do not provide any assistance or support to the Palestinian people, and you must remain calm until the Israeli completes its criminal program and its brutal, destructive, criminal operations to whatever extent it wishes.’ Even at the level of humanitarian support and assistance and the level of the provision of food and medicine and delivering them to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in the northern and southern parts of the Strip, nothing can enter without American and Israeli approval. and even then, it is in very limited quantities that do not meet the basic needs of the people in the Gaza Strip, satisfy their hunger, or secure even a small portion of their essential requirements for food and medicine. America also threatened all countries in the region to prevent them from intervening with any support, assistance, or efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. This way, the role played by the Americans does make them a partner, in every sense of the word, in those heinous crimes.
When we see those extremely tragic, painful scenes of thousands of martyred children and women who were killed by American bombs and whose pure bodies were burned with American bombs, and when we see the tragic state of extreme hunger, severe siege, displacement, and forced migration, we must remember that the America is a contributor to all of this, a participant in all of this, and that it is also another arm of global Jewish Zionism, which the US president has proudly declared his belonging to—and he operates from that standpoint.
Those who are currently mobilizing in America to support Israel in its atrocities, in what it is doing in Gaza, and in what it is doing to the Palestinian people in general, specifically in Gaza, are the American Zionists. The Jewish Zionist lobby in America directs America even beyond its own interests in the world, even to what harms America's reputation in the world, and even to what introduces it in a heinous, atrocious way as it supports and participates in injustice, tyranny, and criminality. All of this also adds to its already terrible, horrific criminal record, which spans many stages and countries around the world: its crimes using nuclear weapons in Japan and the countless children and women killed, as well as mass killings and genocidal acts; its crimes in Vietnam; its crimes in the Islamic world including Afghanistan and other countries; what they have done and continue doing in Iraq; and its crimes during the aggression in Yemen, as well as their criminal schemes that have affected many parts of the world.
America contributes to and participates in what is happening in the Gaza Strip, providing all forms of support. It has transformed all its bases and all its weapon depots in the region to serve as a stronghold for the Zionist enemy, including depots located in Arab countries; it has provided them to support Israel. It has even established an aerial bridge to supply the Israeli enemy with all types of lethal, destructive, and killing weapons on a daily basis. By doing so, it aims to allow the Zionist enemy to target innocent civilians, kill Palestinian children and women, cause comprehensive destruction in the Gaza Strip by destroying entire cities and entire residential neighborhoods, and commit the most heinous crimes. So it is a direct accomplice in these actions.
Furthermore, it provides political support along with that, supporting Israel in the Security Council and objecting to any resolution to halt the Israeli barbaric aggression on the Gaza Strip. Every ceasefire resolution is met with objection from America. It insists on the continuation of killing, crimes, war, and aggression. America, which presented itself as the sponsor of peace in the Middle East, is the one objecting to any ceasefire resolution and insisting on the continuation of killing civilians, Palestinians, children, and women on a daily basis. This is clear, declared, and evident.
America also prevents any action to protect civilians in Palestine. It interferes to obstruct any diplomatic efforts to establish safe zones for civilians that are not subjected to bombing or targeting, any efforts to halt the aggression, and any efforts to provide the Palestinian people with food and medicine. In doing so, it becomes a partner, committing those crimes alongside the Israeli Zionist enemy. It has become evident that both America and Israel are arms of global Jewish Zionism, which targets the Islamic Ummah and human society with its conspiracies and has such a criminal and brutal tendency.
Britain, alongside America, is also at the forefront of this involvement. It is Britain who played a leading role in establishing the Zionist entity, occupying Palestine, and committing crimes against the Palestinian people. It is Britain who has been involved since the beginning. America inherited the embrace and support for the Israeli enemy from Britain. It [Britain] continues to act persistently. It is not satisfied with the major crime it committed against the Palestinian people through the Balfour Declaration. It is not satisfied with initially enabling the Zionists to occupy Palestine or facilitating a large-scale program to bring them to Palestine, arm them, empower them, protect them, and support them until they gained a significant presence. Still, it continues to provide various forms of support to the Zionist enemy: military support, financial support, political support, and all forms of support.
Also, some European countries, including France, Germany, and Italy, have a dark history and a horrific criminal record dating back to more than fifty years, a hundred years, seventy years, and eighty years within what is known as modern history and contemporary history. They have a criminal record: practicing genocide, colonization of peoples, occupation of countries, killing of people, committing acts of genocide in all the colonies they invaded and occupied, torturing their people, persecuting those nations, plundering their wealth, etc. Each of these countries has a dark history and a well-known criminal record. However, there is little attention given to this matter in Arab media and school curriculums primarily, and generally in the Islamic world. There is a disregard and neglect in highlighting that record.
All these countries, regimes, and governments—whether America, Britian, French, Italy, or Germany, and even Spain, which also has its own criminal record and dark history—have a dark history and a criminal record. And each of them is known for its moral and ethical bankruptcy. These countries, regimes, governments, and ideologies have erased morals and values from their political dictionary, from their policies, and from their commitments. Under the guise of interests, they have violated everything and abandoned even human values. And when they are driven by the Zionist lobby and propelled in a manic manner, they ignore values, not just innate human values or religious and divine values but also liberal values. They ignore everything. The Zionist lobby manipulate them, as if they are insane, lack any values at all, and do not embrace anything humane. Rather, they appear to be a product of jungle politics, as if they were raised on savagery in the wilderness and on the logic of the strong preying on the weak and on disregarding any values or ethics. So they combine their dark past and their moral and ethical bankruptcy with their complete submission to to the Jewish Zionist lobby, which moves them in a way that can badly affect their interests and the interests of their people, harm them, and go against the will of the peoples, both globally and within those countries.
A great responsibility rests on the shoulders of the Islamic world, whether in the Arab region, which is the heart of the Islamic world, or in other countries within the Islamic world. This responsibility extends to all Muslims, including those residing in Western countries. Responsibility rests on the shoulder of all of them, firstly due to the fact the Palestinian people are part of them geographically and in terms of the people. So they have a significant responsibility to take decisive and active action in supporting the Palestinian people and preventing this injustice. They also have a religious, ethical, and humanitarian responsibility based on their affiliation to Islam and its principles, values, and ethics, as one of the most important principles in Islam is the necessity to stand against injustice and confront and oppose oppressors, tyrants, and criminals. One of Islam's most important principles is carrying out jihad in the cause of Allah, enjoining good, forbidding evil, and establishing the values of justice, mercy, truth, and goodness. It is the religious, humanitarian, and ethical duty of Muslims to take a serious, practical, and effective stance with a sincere commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.
We know what some countries do when they react to certain issues or specific positions, and sometimes for trivial reasons. Some Arab countries have severed their relations with Western countries because they made a statement criticizing their behaviour or offended a king or prince. And this led to adopting positions such as cutting diplomatic ties, imposing economic boycotts, implementing practical plans, and launching intense media and propaganda campaigns.
We have seen what Arab countries do when they enthusiastically involve themselves in internal problems, what they do when they have a problem with another Arabic country, and how they react intensively and strongly, employing propaganda campaigns, threats, intimidation, and sometimes even engaging in security conspiracies or schemes to destabilize and target those countries in various ways. It is well-known that some Arab countries exhibit a great level of intensity when the situation involves another Arab or Muslim nation. They employ highly aggressive propaganda campaigns that persist day and night without ceasing. They also utilize plans against such a nation at the security level and sometimes at the military level! However, when it comes to major, genuine, just, and rightful issues concerning the Muslim Ummah, particularly the clear and undeniable oppression faced by the Palestinian people, we observe a completely different stance. We observe a complete lack of enthusiasm, to the point of being preoccupied with dancing, singing, dog competitions, and trivial matters. We see a significant degree of disregard: turning a blind eye, deafening ears, denial, and ignorance of the major massacres and atrocities happening to the Palestinian people, and the suffering they endure. Rather, certain voices emerge—the voices of condemnation, the repugnant voices, the voices that are the ugliest voices—to blame the Palestinian people and their mujahidin and to vilify any supportive stance. So they have gone beyond mere abandonment, ignorance, and shirking of significant responsibility for supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, as to gloat over of the Palestinian people and their mujahidin, to insult them, and to disparage any sincere effort to support the Palestinian people, not to mention their effort to tarnish their image and conspire against them in many instances.
The Islamic world has a great responsibility, and it is supposed to take action. We should not expect from America, which is a partner to the Zionists in their attacks against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestine and in their crimes against its people, to play any positive role in favour of the Palestinian people. We don't expect anything positive from European countries that have a dark history, that detach from natural and human values completely, and that submit to the Zionist Jewish lobby astoundingly. We don't expect any positive role from them in favour of the Palestinian people, any just cause in the world, or in rescuing any oppressed nation. They are the ones who always side with the oppressor and stand in the position of injustice, tyranny, arrogance, occupation, plundering of nations' resources, and targeting of peoples. By virtue of belonging to Islam, the responsibility lies on the Islamic world and on Muslims to have a voice, stance, and serious commitment to providing all forms of support to the Palestinian people, including political support—to the same degree they advocate for any cause they are passionate about, engage with it, and actively work for it—financial support, and even military support. This is their responsibility and duty. If the Americans come from the other side of the world (preceded by the Europeans, Germans, French, Italians, and British) to collaborate with the oppressive, criminal, occupying, and aggressive Israelis in their crimes, brutality, occupation, and tyranny, so why doesn't our Islamic Ummah take the required and expected stance by virtue of its belonging to Islam and its principles, values, ethics, and even interests? It should stand with the oppressed, persecuted, and tortured Palestinian people in their just cause, which is a right cause without any doubt. This is a serious matter.
The general stance at the summit level, including the summit in Saudi Arabia and other summits, has been weak. It is merely limited to statements and demands, and it does go beyond that after the statement. What is seen is occasional weak and lukewarm statements that do not rise to the level of practical action. Some countries have shown limited support. In contrast, the Resistance Axis provides military, media, popular support and organizes marches and demonstrations in some countries around the world, which are important. However, even in some Arab countries, demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people have been prohibited, and any serious action to provide support, such as financial assistance, has been prevented! Are there any genuine and open donation campaigns in all Gulf countries to support the Palestinian people? Is there any scholarly movement among those who used to issue fatwas declaring the obligation of jihad when the issue is about provoking conflict in Syria, targeting the Yemeni people, targeting the Iraqi people, or targeting any Muslim country here or there? They consider inciting conflicts and targeting people as a duty of jihad, so they issue fatwas, religious incitement campaigns, and deliver sermons in mosques. Where is this voice that should issue fatwas on the obligation of jihad in support of the Palestinian people? What justifies their silence, their inaction, their indifference, and sometimes worse than that, blaming the Palestinian people and their mujahidin? This is an important issue. We must all realize that our responsibility is to take serious action.
From this standpoint, based on religious, moral, and ethical responsibility, our dear Yemeni people have taken prominent, clear, and well-known positions as to adopt the right stance at all levels, declaring their commitment to provide all possible and feasible forms of support to the Palestinian people. They have stated that they will take military action and declare war on the Zionist Jewish Israeli enemy, and that they will mobilize their missile and drone capabilities to initiate operations targeting the Zionist enemy in occupied Palestine using ballistic and guided missiles and drones. Also in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea, they have made it clear that they will prevent Israeli ships and vessels associated with Israel from moving to the ports of occupied Palestine to deliver supplies and goods to the Israelis. This is the stance taken at the military level, which our people have desired and continue to hope for what even goes beyond that. We have made a clear and public request to the countries geographically separating us from occupied Palestine to open land crossings in order to allow hundreds of thousands of our people to engage in jihad in Palestine. This is a sacred jihad, a great endeavor, and a just stance. However, none of them have responded to this request. They are far from being responsive. We have told them, 'At least test our credibility and the credibility of our people. Try it. Aren't you trying to undermine any effort we make and distort any stance we take? So take a sincere and serious decision to open this path. Open it to see the truth, to witness the determination of this noble people.'
At the level of donations, our people continue to provide financial donations to the Palestinian people despite the extremely difficult living conditions because we are basically a besieged nation and still in a state of war, as we have not yet got out the state of war declared against our country and our people.
At the political level, our stance is clear and supportive to the maximum extent possible.
At the media level, all our media outlets and fronts have primarily moved to support the Palestinian people and their mujahidin. This is evident, and our media differs greatly from the media of others. Compare our media outlets to those of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, or the media outlets of mercenaries or many other countries. To what extent do they offer support to the Palestinian cause? The vast and obvious difference becomes clear with the simplest comparison. Many other media outlets play a negative and derogatory role towards the Palestinian people. How would one expect them to take a supportive and advocating stance, join the media front for supporting the Palestinian cause in every sense of the word, or direct their effort explicitly and clearly against the Zionist enemy?
At the level of marches and demonstrations, our beloved people take to the streets every Friday in millions, filling the squares. The masses vocally express their clear and declared positions, chanting the call for disassociation [with mushrikin] and shouting in the face of the arrogant:
Allah is Greater!
Death to America!
Death to Isael
Curse upon the Jews!
Victory to Islam!
This bold, explicit, and clear slogan is chanted to express the stance of this beloved people, a stance that rises to the level of responsibility.
The participation in marches and demonstrations in our country, the popular movement, and the popular interaction, may be unparalleled in other countries, whether in the Islamic world, the Arab region, or in other countries worldwide. It is a comprehensive stance, a broad popular stance, and this stance enjoys significant consensus in our country and among our people, even more than its national issues. Let me make this clear for you: The Yemeni people's consensus in their stance towards the aggression against them, which is a war on the Yemeni people themselves, did not reach the level of consensus and interaction towards the Palestinian issue, the Palestinian just cause, and supporting the Palestinian people, the mujahidin in Gaza, and the people of Gaza, who are part of the Palestinian people. The interaction with them was even greater than the interaction with the issues that concern this people and their just cause. This is a well-known fact. This is not a movement limited to a specific group of the Yemeni people, but rather it is an official and popular movement that reflects the will of our Yemeni people, even in the occupied provinces controlled by the coalition of aggression. The pulse, heart, feeling, and support of the people in those provinces align with this stance, which truly reflects the Yemeni people in their religious identity, their living conscience, and their courageous, correct, bold, and responsible stance that aligns with their principles, values, honour, belonging, and freedom.
Therefore, if some positions deviate from supporting the Palestinian cause by mercenaries, they hold no value, do not represent this people, and do not reflect their will, as the matter is clear in all parts of the country. It is a unified stance, officially and popularly agreed upon. It is not limited to a specific group. The Yemeni people have clearly expressed this stance on the seventieth day in the Seventieth Square. Just watch the scenes of the massive turnout of millions that express this stance. The ceiling for this stance is very high; in other words, what our people generally want, what our people hope for and demand, is even greater than what we are currently doing. We do what we can and strive to achieve more and to do what is more severe against the Zionist enemy.
We continue to strive to develop our military capabilities, and we even benefit from the challenges we encounter. In some cases, multiple forces in the region intercept our missile strikes targeting the Israeli enemy. Sometimes, these interceptions involve four countries, including Arab nations and military powers in the region, in addition to the Israeli enemy. They all attempt to intercept the drones to prevent them from reaching their targets. They try to intercept and counter Yemeni missiles.Unfortunately, some Arab countries provide this service to the Zionist enemy: They align themselves with the Zionist enemy and mobilize their military capabilities to protect it, instead of protecting the Palestinian people and the children and women in Gaza. They attempt to offer protection to the Zionist entity, along with the Americans and Western powers that are in association with them. However, despite all forms of support they provide, we strive to develop our military capabilities to surpass any obstacles, achieve our goals, and do what is more intense. We do strive to do what is greater than thisto the best of our abilities, to elevate this to the level of responsibility on one hand, and to meet the desires, demands, and hopes of our people on the other hand. This is their will, their direction, their belief, and their stance. It is not a stance of a specific group or a limited faction of our people. It is also a clear stance without any ambiguity or confusion. It is a stance against the Zionist Jewish Israeli enemy in their criminal and savage aggression against the Palestinian people, their aggression on Gaza, and their heinous crimes there, as well as their siege on the people of Gaza. We have not targeted any other country. We have even exercised patience in the face of interception operations carried out by Arab countries in support of Israel. We have exercised patience and refrained from targeting them, despite their involvement to such an extent in supporting the Zionist Jewish enemy.
Our concern, goal, direction, stance, and effort are all dedicated to supporting the Palestinian people, the inhabitants of Gaza, and the mujahidin in Gaza. It is a just and legitimate stance. The Americans, along with the British, give themselves the right to come to our region, our Islamic world, our Arab lands, and the seas of these countries and to support the Zionist enemy in its crimes, the heinous crimes of genocide against an oppressed people. They then criticize others for taking a rightful, correct, humane, and moral stance, which has its moral, humane, legal, and ethical foundations, in all considerations.
The American and British stance is an unjust and criminal stance. It a shameful and disgraceful stance; in fact, the situation has reached a point where some American officials have resigned due to their shame over what America is doing with Israel by participating in the worst and most horrible crimes. They said that this threatens America's interests, tarnishes its reputation in the region, causes a backlash, and further fuels resentment towards America's actions in the hearts of people in the Islamic world in its entirety. Demonstrations have taken place in America, Britain, France, and Germany, all expressing condemnation of America's action, which diverges from the will and interests of the people and ignores all values, including human, religious, ethical, and liberal values. It is a clear and blatant criminal and aggressive stance and completely disgraceful and shameful stance, in the true sense of the word: It is a disgrace for America, Britain, France, Germany, Italy—for all countries that stand with the Zionist enemy in its killing of children and women and its heinous crimes. It is a disgrace and shame.
As for the stance of our people is an honorable and correct stancein every sense of the word and aligns with our people's religious, humanitarian, and ethical responsibility of this nation. There is no shame, embarrassment, or hesitation in such a stance. Instead, we strive to pursue it to the fullest extent possible without hesitation or reluctance. To us, it as a just stance that is worthy of our sacrifice, effort, contribution, and steadfastness, regardless of the consequences. If the Americans seek to impose their falsehood on the nations of our Ummah and to subdue and force them to idly watch the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people, then our people have decided not to yield, not to submit, not to kneel to the Americans, and not to retreat from this principled, ethical, religious, and human stance.
This is the stance of our dear people, and their stance in the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea, in preventing the movement of Israeli ships and related entities from reaching the occupied ports of Palestine laden with goods for the Zionist enemy, is an active and influential stance. Some ignorant, vile, and despicable individuals mocked this stance until the Zionist enemy expressed its great frustration due its impact on its economy—it has even disrupted some of the ports in the occupied Palestine which Israel relied on for importing goods and supplies. Even the Americans and all the arms of the Zionist lobby raised their voices, despite the fact that this action does not target international navigation, other ships, or the trade activities of all countries around the world. The passage and movement through the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Bab Al-Mandeb strait, and the Red Sea remain open and safe for all other ships to transit. In fact, hundreds of ships continued to safely pass through for various countries worldwide. It has been declared and made clear—in the media, in positions, in speeches, and through diplomatic communication by our national delegation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sana'a—that no ships are targeted from any country in the world, except ships associated with Israel: either owned by Israelis, partly owned by them and moving for their interests, or going to the ports of occupied Palestine carrying supplies for the Zionist enemy. This is a clear and unambiguous stance.
Indeed, the operations in the Red Sea, the Bab Al-Mandeb strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea do not target any other ships, nor do they harm international navigation or the commercial movement of any other countries. They exclusively target the Israeli enemy and support the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza. They support those hundreds of thousands of children and women who suffer from hunger in the Gaza Strip. They support the entire oppressed Palestinian people who also suffer in the West Bank; however, [in comparison,] the plight in Gaza is a tremendous tragedy that no person with a living conscience can remain silent about or ignore, even if he possesses the tiniest bit of a living conscience.
The Zionist Israeli enemy has been vocally critical of this effective and impactful stance and asked its partners and supporters (those who participate with it in its criminal targeting of the Palestinian people and support it in committing crimes of genocide against people in Gaza) to take action in the Red sea against this stance that proved to have impact on it.
The Americans have declared a new movement, even though they have been active since the beginning. They rushed since the beginning to protect passing Israeli ships and other ships linked to Israel. Some of their warships were moving at a front position, while some others were lagging behind or sometimes in close proximity in an attempt to provide all forms of protection for Israeli ships. However, its current aim is to involve others in protecting those ships owned by or linked to Israel. This is the reality of the Americans' movement. It is not a move to protect international or commercial navigation or to protect the passing ships of other countries that navigate through the Bab Al-Mandeb strait and the Red sea. In fact, the greatest threat to the movement of commercial ships and international navigation in the Bab Al-Mandeb strait, the Red sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea is the American efforts that seek to militarize the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab Al-Mandeb strait and to transform the sea into a war zone, an area of unrest and instability. The one endangering maritime navigation for all countries is America, itself, all for the sake of the Israeli enemy. It does so in service of the Israeli enemy, responding to an explicit and open request from Israel. Israel has made its request and announced it. Those who align themselves with the Americans and involve themselves in protecting Israeli ships and ships associated with the Israeli enemy know with absolute certainty that they are solely serving Israel's interests, not international navigation. In fact, their actions harm international navigation and have an adverse impact on it.
Therefore, it is imperative for all countries around the world to criticize the Americans and those who collaborate with them from distant and foreign nations and come to operate in the Red Sea, threaten navigation in the Red Sea, and militarize the Red Sea, turning its atmosphere into a disturbed military environment. In the forefront of this should be the countries located on both shores of the Red Sea. They should take a clear stance to criticize the Americans and oppose their position, for the American stance violates the rights of these countries and jeopardizes their security and stability. All the countries along the shores of the Red Sea are affected by this, and their rights are violated. Therefore, they have a responsibility to act against the American position. It is an intrusive aggressive stance that harms international navigation. Furthermore, all countries in the East and West should shoulder responsibility, for they are affected too by the militarization of the Red Sea and the American endeavour to transform it into a restless war zone to serve the Israeli enemy.
In this context, I advise all countries that America seeks to involve not to entangle themselves, not to sacrifice their interests, and not to compromise the security of their maritime navigation in service of the Zionist enemy. Why would you serve the Zionist enemy? Why would you support their crimes in killing thousands of children and women in Gaza?
As for our position, the recent American action, in which it seeks to involve certain countries and keeps directing threats, will not deter us at all from our firm, principled, ethical, and faith-based stance that we declared from the beginning. Since we announced this position, we are well aware of the extent of American discomfort with it and Israeli madness towards it. We are very comfortable because this is an impactful stance, and one of the criteria that demonstrate its impact is the level of Israeli and American irritation. If it were a stance with no impact or value, the Israeli side wouldn't have raised objections or claimed to be affected by it, nor would it have occupied space even in the Israeli media about its resulting damages, its effect, its significance, and its level of impact. Similarly, the American discomfort has been evident from the beginning. Also, the American movement is not new; they have been deploying their warships and aircraft carriers since day one, utilizing all their capabilities. However, now they are seeking to involve others and escalate the situation further.
If the Americans decide to escalate further, involve themselves more, or commit a foolish act by targeting our country or waging war against us, we will not stand idly. We will target them. We will target their warships, their interests, and their maritime movement with our missiles, drones, and military operations. We are not a people who stand defenseless while the enemy strikes them. We are a people who reject oppression, and we put our trust in Allah (Glory be to Him). We will not be afraid of American threats, not even if they intend to engage in direct war and aggression against our country. We do not compromise our positions because of that, nor do we surrender, submit, or give in. We have endured in the past years the wars waged by the Americans through their proxies. They have empowered and mobilized regimes in the region to wage aggression against us. They mobilized takfiri groups to wage war and aggression against us, exhausting us and engaging us in battles. The worst crimes have been committed against our people: the killing of children and women, widespread destruction, comprehensive siege, and extremely draining confrontations. What we have desired and wanted most even from day one is to go into direct war with the Americans and Israelis, rather than them fighting us through their proxies. These proxies fight for them to achieve their agendas, and they even pay them, not only for weapons but also for political positions, media support, plans, administration, and information—everything is paid for with their money!
At the same time, we wish and urge all Arab nations and those who have been influenced by the Americans in the past to stop and watch to let the Americans engage in direct war with us. Let them leave us to engage in a direct war with the Israeli enemy and the Americans and face their tyranny, aggression, and crimes. If they want to dance, let them dance, but they should not provide financial support or militarily participate with the Americans. Let them just watch. If they want to be an audience applauding for the Americans, let them applaud. If they want to dance on the remains of the victims, including children and women, let them dance, but they should not participate with the Americans. They should not involve themselves. Instead of being drained in years-long wars in which the Americans kept moving their tools, let the war be direct with them. Since they want to engage in a direct war and involve themselves in it, let them know and understand that we are not afraid of them. They are facing an entire nation, not just a limited group. The stance against Israeli Zionist aggression on Gaza is the stance of all Yemeni people. Indeed, it reflects the will of the Yemeni people as a whole.
Therefore, if the Americans want to fight against this stance, stop it, silence it, or prevent it, they will have a problem with the entire Yemeni people. If they want to send their soldiers to Yemen, let them know for certain that they will face what is much harsher than what they faced in Afghanistan and what they suffered in Vietnam, by the will of Allah, the Almighty. The situation in Yemen is vastly different: You are facing a jihad-performing people that are driven by their religious identity and faith. They are a free people who have been moving forward for years with a sincere religious determination. We are prepared to hold fast to our position regardless of the consequences. The Americans should not think that they can strike here and there and then everything will calm down, and then they can send mediators from here or there to pacify the situation. Should the Americans entangle themselves, they will find themselves in deep trouble in the true sense of the word, a serious trouble!
Therefore, let the Americans and all institutions in America know that the American Zionists seek to involve the country in matters that are not even in its interest or the interest of its people. They serve only Israel, the Zionist Jewish Israeli enemy. As for us, we rely on Allah and have confidence in Him. He is the Lord of all worlds, the supporter of the oppressed, and the All-Powerful and the Almighty. We have embarked on a stance to support a just cause, embodying the command of Allah (the Almighty) and His true promise when He said, {'O you who have attained faith, if you support Allah, He will support you and strengthen your foothold'}[Muhammad 47:7].
Therefore, we warn the Americans against entangling themselves by committing any foolishness. As for what they do in the Red Sea, it is a loss, as they launch a missile worth two million dollars to intercept a drone worth two thousand dollars! Indeed, it is a loss. Thanks to Allah, we have a long breath for confrontation, resistance to the enemies, and standing firm against attacks by enemies. Our dear people have withstood nine years in the face of a major aggression where the capabilities and resources of the aggressors have been heavily concentrated against our people. Yet, our people remain steadfast and unwavering. Our people grow stronger with every war the enemies wage, and every time the enemies attack, our people enhance their military capabilities to confront them. Therefore, the enemy should not hope to subjugate our people or expect our people to retreat. Our stance is unwavering. We simply advise others to exercise caution in getting involved with the Americans and to let them entangle themselves if they choose so.
We also advise European countries, which are risking and jeopardizing their interests for the sake of Israel: There is no danger on your ships that do not intend to go and support the Israelis and do not want to transport goods to the occupied ports of Palestine to support the Israelis. Your ships can pass safely. However, when you involve yourselves with the Americans in service to Israel, you are risking your own interests and the interests of your people in every sense of the word.
We hope that the Islamic world, in the face of the ongoing Israeli and American oppression and aggression against Palestine and Gaza, reassesses their calculations and adopts stronger positions than it currently holds. This is an important matter. Meanwhile, we commend the Malaysian stance, which barred a Zionist company from its ports, boycotted it, and expelled it to prevent it from exercising any activity in its ports. This is an excellent stance. It is incumbent upon all Islamic and Arab countries to advance their positions at the economic, diplomatic, political, and media levels, to provide greater support to the Palestinian people, and to learn from the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
The steadfastness of the mujahidin in Gaza is a great steadfastness that reflects their unwavering faith-based determination and proves that the mujahidin there do rely on Allah, trust in Him, really believe in their cause, and possess the ethics and values that qualify them for such a level of steadfastness and sacrifice. They maintain their spiritual connection with Allah, through which they enjoy divine support, tranquility, and tremendous assistance from Him. They confront the Israeli enemy in the battlefield, killing many Israeli soldiers. Perhaps this matter does not receive the media coverage it deserves, but their steadfastness and determination and the hard blows they deal to the Zionist enemy are great, significant, and honorable, reflecting, as we previously mentioned, their unwavering faith and representing a genuine hope for the promised victory, Allah willing.
The patience of the people and residents of Gaza, despite the immense aggression they face, has astonished nations around the world, including European nations. Everyone is amazed at the level of their patience, resilience, and steadfastness, despite the magnitude of their oppression and the extreme and unparalleled suffering.
In this regard, we say to the Palestinian people in Gaza and throughout Palestine and to the mujahidin brothers in Palestine and in the esteemed Gaza, 'You are not alone': You enjoy the support of Allah, the best of helpers, Who says, {'Allah is sufficient as a Guardian, and He is sufficient as a Helper'}[An-Nisa 4:45], and our Yemeni people stand with you to the best of their ability and with the highest level of support they can provide. We will not hesitate, and the American stance, threats, and intimidation will not deter us, nor will it weaken our resolve, neither from the Americans nor from any other side. We will not be swayed from this stance, and we will not retreat from it.
We say to them:
All the free people of our Ummah are by your side. The axis of resistance stands alongside you in important and effective roles. Hezbollah in Lebanon is present on the active frontlines along the northern borders of Palestine, standing with you. People around the world who still possess a trace of human conscience cheer for you and your just cause. Allah is the Best of Helpers, so trust in the victory of Allah, no matter how relentless the Zionist enemy's crimes may be. So your steadfastness, patience, jihad, and sacrifices are the reason for divine victory, accompanying your just cause and suffering, which are within the sight of Allah, Who says, {'Nothing is hidden from Him in the earth or in the heaven'}[Ali 'Imran 3:5]. Regardless of the Americans' position in supporting and participating in the Zionist enemy's crimes, they, too, are losers. They lose with the loss of Israel. Therefore, no matter how great the suffering may be, the oppressed, through their steadfastness, resilience, and patience, are blessed with the victory of Allah, Who has promised victory and will not fail to fulfill His promise.
Our stance remains steadfast, and the correct position that all countries in the world should adopt is to demand an end to the aggression on Gaza. Why do the Americans want to continue protecting Israeli ships? It is because they want the aggression on Gaza to persist and the crimes to continue in Gaza. Otherwise, the proper solution is to cease the aggression and end the crimes and siege on the Palestinian people in Gaza. Isn't this the correct stance that aligns with humanity, with all values, and even with the demands of people in various countries around the world? However, the Americans no longer care about anything, and even their movement in the Red Sea (under the new pretext of protecting Israeli ships) is illegal and not consistent with any international law and does not represent the United Nations or anything else. It is an aggressive, criminal, and savage act aimed at serving the Israelis.
I urge our dear people to continue all activities in our country and to be prepared for all possibilities. Our dear people have adopted their stance with sincerity and seriousness. It is not a tactical stance; rather, it is a stance of faith. And the enemy should understand what we mean by our faith-based stance and the positions that stem from our religious, moral, ethical, and humanitarian principles. We are a people who embody humanity and continue to hold onto our values, principles, and faith. Therefore, we will not hesitate or retreat in the face of threats, intimidation, or pressure.
The Americans have been waging war against this people in humanitarian aid, including even food provided through the World Food Programme and the United Nations. Despite that, they continue to threaten and intimidate more and more. No matter what they do, we rely on Allah, depend on Him, and stand up to them. We are already in a confrontation. As we have said, we prefer to go into direct war with them and the Israeli enemy and to calm down from the wars that have exhausted this Ummah within its own peoples and countries. Others should refrain from getting involved and participating with them.
We ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to grant us success in seeking what pleases Him. O Allah (Glory be to You), have mercy on our martyrs, heal the wounded among us, set free our captives, and grant us victory, for You are All-Hearing!
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
