BEIRUT April 04. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has stressed that “International al-Quds Day reminds us of the approaching final victory of the suffering and patient Palestinian people over the aggressors.
The President said the day is a symbol of the unity and sympathy of the Islamic nation for resolving the Palestinian issue and removing the entity from all the occupied territories.
This came in his speech today, Wednesday, during an event entitled “al-Quds Platform,” which is held by the International Committee to Commemorate Jerusalem Day.
Raisi saluted the tireless struggling Palestinian people, especially the oppressed people of Gaza and the fighters on the contact line, old and young, women and men, old and young.
He also directed his greetings to all the responsible and zealous youth of the Islamic nation whose hearts are committed to the cause of al-Quds and to all men and women of living consciences in all parts of the world, of every religion, sect, and nationality.
Raisi said “The historic and intelligent strategy of Imam Khomeini (may God bless him and grant him peace) in naming the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, under the title of International al-Quds Day, is an inspiring and unified movement in defending and reviving the cause of the Palestinian people and strengthening the resistance front and the union of the Islamic nation.”
He pointed out that "the Palestinian historical operations crushed the criminal Zionist army, and to restore its image, they killed oppressed women and children with the most modern weapons, and to compensate for the strategic blow they received from the Al-Aqsa flood, they resorted to committing war crimes and genocide."
