MOSCOW April 19. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that its armed forces carried out over the course of a week, 34 missile attacks and using drones on military and energy facilities in Ukraine in response to the Kiev regime's attempts to destroy Russian energy and industrial facilities.
"From April 13 to 19, the Russian armed forces, in response to the Kiev regime's attempts to destroy Russian energy and industrial facilities, carried out 34 joint strikes with high-precision and long-range air and naval weapons.
The drones hit energy industry facilities, military-industrial complex enterprises, Ukraine's railway infrastructure, air defense systems, arsenals and fuel storage facilities for military equipment, it said.
"Training centers for drone operators and temporary deployment points of units of the Ukrainian armed forces, national formations and foreign mercenaries were also bombed," it said.
The Russian special military operation, which began on February 24, 2022, aims to protect the population of Donbass, who have been persecuted and exterminated by the Kiev regime for years.
Russian forces thwarted the Ukrainian "counteroffensive", despite significant financial and military support provided by NATO and a number of Western and Washington-allied countries to the Kiev regime.
