NEW YORK April 20. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need to prepare a political package by the United Nations, which includes all the necessary dimensions to end the crisis, including the exchange of prisoners, the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy forces from the Gaza Strip, as well as the flow of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
Abdollahian said in a statement to the Iranian media last night, about the details of his visit to New York: He explained during the meetings and meetings that took place in the past two days, Iran's position towards the developments in Gaza, and the dimensions of the legitimate Iranian response to two military bases of the Zionist enemy entity from which the aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus began.
Abdollahian pointed out that his country "warned against the consequences of repeating any new adventure on the part of the Zionist entity," and stressed that the expansion of war and tension is not in anyone's interest in the region.
He pointed out that he stressed during some political meetings, especially with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, that the radical solution to the crisis in the region "lies in focusing on political solutions and ending the Zionist war crimes in Gaza."
Abdollahian said that given the nature of the work in New York, diplomatic ways to end sanctions on Iran were discussed.
