LJUBLJANA May 18. 2024 (Saba) -The Prime Minister of Slovenia announced on Saturday that “the situation in Gaza is catastrophic and there is a violation of all human rights laws,” stressing that Ljubljana will recognize the Palestinian state next month.

CNN quoted the Prime Minister as saying, "We will recognize the Palestinian state next month, and the division in Europe's positions does not help bring peace."

Media reports have stated that some European Union member states, including Ireland and Spain, are considering recognizing the Palestinian state on May 21.
