Sana’a - Saba:
Researcher Sam Yahya Al-Hamdani was awarded a PhD with distinction in Rhetoric and Criticism from the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, for his dissertation titled "Argumentation in Imaginary Debates in Arabic Literature (8th–12th Centuries AH)."
The examination and evaluation committee, chaired by Dr. Adnan Yusuf Al-Sha'ibi from Sana’a University as the internal examiner, and comprising Dr. Munir Abdo Na'im from Sana’a University as the main supervisor, and Dr. Najeeb Abdo Al-Warafi from Thamar University as the external examiner, praised the dissertation’s content and the researcher’s findings. The study revealed models of literary embellishments (badi') used in argumentation within Arabic literary debates, linking them to evidence, textual examples, and various literary arts.
