GAZA June 5. 2024 (Saba) - The mayor of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, Alaa Al-Attar, confirmed that the Zionist enemy army targeted and destroyed all the necessities of life in the northern Gaza Strip during its recent incursion into the Jabalia camp and northern Gaza during the recent period.
Al-Attar said in a special interview with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) today, Wednesday: "Since October 7 of last year, the Zionist enemy has been practicing a war of genocide, and destroying all the components of life in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern part of the Strip.
He explained that the enemy army has completely destroyed more than 50,000 housing units in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, and has also partially destroyed tens of thousands of homes.
He added: The Zionist enemy army has also destroyed about 35 main water wells that the northern governorate depends on mainly.. indicating that there is a lack of water sources in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that the enemy army has destroyed and bulldozed 15 sewage pumps in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.. describing the environmental situation in the northern part of the Gaza Strip as "bad and difficult", especially in the city of Beit Lahia and Jabalia camp, where sewage water is like rivers inside the streets.
Al-Attar also confirmed that the Zionist enemy army targeted the health sector, as the Indonesian hospital was destroyed and burned for the second time during this war, and it also targeted Al-Awda Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, and the original clinic, which includes dozens of specialized clinics, as well as most of the outpatient clinics and clinics located inside residential areas.
He stressed that there is a lack and interruption of food security, which is a very important element for life and the survival of people in these areas.
At the end of his speech, the mayor of Beit Lahia confirmed the complete lack of agricultural crops, as the Zionist enemy army bulldozed and targeted agricultural lands and prevented people from reaching to irrigate these crops.
