SANA'A June 30. 2024 (Saba) - The new confessions of the American-Israeli spy network has revealed the means and methods used by the American enemy to target the cultural reality in Yemen and attract and recruit young people to work for it.
The confessions published by the security services included the most important means of targeting, attracting and recruiting, most notably the programs and projects of the cultural attaché at the American embassy, internal grants in institutes and universities, external grants in America, and companies and organizations affiliated with and affiliated with American intelligence.
Students in the trap:
In this context, spy Bassam al-Mardahi indicated in his confessions that the American embassy provided many grants to Yemeni citizens in several fields, including the security and military fields, and other grants provided by the cultural attaché, including cultural exchange grants, especially for university graduates, and scientific exchange grants, in addition to grants for journalists, painters, and artists.
He stated that after "people travel to America, they are received by universities and institutes and educational programs are created for them and other programs through which they are fed with American ideas and culture of liberation and democracy and Western ideas that do not fit with the culture of the Yemenis." The spy al-Mardahi pointed out that when some of these students travel to America, they are housed with American families, and these families may be affiliated with the CIA, and these students are exploited and fed with American ideas and exploited to conduct research and write articles in exchange for sums of money of 200 dollars and above.
International Visitor Program
In turn, spy Shaif al-Hamdani addressed the International Visitor Program, which is one of the means of attraction, as he pointed out that the appearance of these programs is the exchange of information and cultural and educational benefits between peoples, but in reality it is concerned with building relationships and attracting influential figures from different segments of society, including politicians, economists, academics, and others.
He pointed out that the goal of this is to control these people, which makes it easier to obtain information from them and also to influence the decision in various aspects of life in Yemen, which ensures American control over this decision and the institutions in which they work through their participation in these programs so that they become sources of information in this regard.
According spy al-Hamdani these people are contacted after their return from participating in this program by inviting them to parties at the American embassy or to meetings with agency officials or attachés that nominated these people who have prominent personalities that will lead them to the decision-making stage in the future and become a source of information for the various American agencies after their return from participation.
In turn, spy Hashem al-Wazir explained that the recruitment file is one of the most important files that the American embassy is working on, as the process begins with building a normal relationship with people that gradually strengthens the relationship with people by intensifying meetings with them and providing them with facilities, then sending them in the International Visitor Program to America and exposing them to Western and American values.
He pointed out that these people are sent to programs in other countries affiliated with the Americans or educational institutions affiliated with the Americans so that they are saturated with American and Western culture and ensuring that they have become in the same orbit of this culture, these trends and these interests.
He added, "I can say in general that the majority of course are attracted by money and admiration for Western culture and using means such as the International Visitor Program, which is considered one of the most important practical means of attraction by taking people to America and dazzling them with American and Western culture and then ensuring their return to the country and their work for the benefit of the Americans and Westerners.
Recruitment and Attraction Institutes
In this context, spy Hisham Al-Wazir says that the AMIDEAST Institute or Project had multiple projects, the most important of which was the media department, where this institute trained and recruited young men and women, through their studies in English language institutes affiliated with the Americans, such as the Yale Institute and the AMIDEAST Institute.
He pointed out that the focus is on the smart elements of these young men and women and sending them on scholarships to American entities such as the American University in Beirut, the American University in Egypt, and Duke University in America, and then they are dragged to serve American interests.
Soft War on Developing Countries
In turn, spy Jamal al-Sharabi touched on the soft war that America is targeting developing countries, including Yemen.
He pointed out that America aims through this war to spread American cultures in the country, and to separate young people from their identity and society and make them believe in Western culture, and forget their religious and national culture, and to inoculate educational curricula with Western culture; to spread immodesty and everything that alienates young people to society and links them to Western identities.
Cultural targeting through companies and organizations
The confessions of spy Abdul Moein Azzan also revealed some of the sabotage and intelligence activities of the "Labs" company, which is one of the soft arms of the American Central Intelligence Agency.
The "Labs" company is one of the companies of the Mobi Group, affiliated with the Afghan businessman Saad Mohseni, who is affiliated with the American Central Intelligence Agency. The latter helped him with the American army to establish the Mobi company, enter Afghanistan, and establish the "Labs" company within the framework of the group. It also opens branches for it in several countries, including Yemen.
In 2013, a branch of the "Labs" company was opened in Yemen by a British woman named "Sarah Cunningham" with the help of a Yemeni businessman affiliated with the American Central Intelligence Agency.
The "Labs" company worked on two main tracks in Yemen. The first track is collecting information and preparing studies and surveys in various political, economic, cultural and developmental fields, and all fields in the countries in which it operated. The second is preparing media campaigns that aimed to change co
nvictions and also influence public opinion in the countries in which the company operated and was active.
The spy, Azzan, pointed out that the studies conducted by the company focused mainly on collecting information about the tendencies and orientations of the Yemeni citizen, the challenges he faces, and the means through which he would like to be addressed.
He stated that this information was mainly sent and shared with entities such as the US Department of Defense and US intelligence, in addition to the fact that it was information that could be exploited and benefited from, whether for military, security, political, economic or any other purposes.
Among the intelligence activities carried out by the "Labs" company in Yemen was preparing a landscape study, which is a comprehensive study of the Yemeni media scene, to determine the trends and inclinations of the Yemeni citizen and to determine the most influential means and the most acceptable language for him with the aim of sending messages that work to change the convictions of the Yemeni citizen.
According to the confessions of the spy Azzan, one of the intelligence activities of the "Labs" company in Yemen was also conducting a study aimed at determining the purchasing tastes and even the purchasing power of the Yemeni citizen, and the products that he accepts most and wants to buy, and this study was shared with American and British merchants with the aim of introducing American and British goods in a way that is popular with the Yemeni citizen if they are imported to Yemen.
He pointed out that among the activities carried out by "Labs" company was preparing and implementing extensive media campaigns, based on the results of studies and surveys of the Yemeni media scene known as the "landscape", which gives indicators of the media outlets closest to the Yemeni citizen, the most popular and the language he prefers, with the aim of influencing him and changing his convictions in certain areas.
The spy Azzan added: "In 2017, Labs company implemented a project on peace journalism in Yemen, funded by the Middle East Partnership Initiative, through the IREX organization, an American organization that was working in Jordan. The project activities included holding workshops, meetings and training for a group of journalists in various media, and they were implemented simultaneously in Sana'a and Aden."
According to the confessions, the goal of the project was to attract and recruit journalists and use them to influence information and change people's convictions on various topics such as the topic of peace and others, according to what was decided to be or according to the need for information
Targeting Clerics
Within the framework of the American plan to target the cultural sector in Yemen, the spy Abdul Moein Azzan touched on the role of the "Dar sl-Salam" organization, which was one of the most prominent local organizations linked to suspicious intelligence roles with the enemy.
The spy Azzan stated that he began working in the "Dar al-Salam" organization in early 2018. It is a local organization established by a tribal sheikh who had a close relationship with the American Democratic Institute. It was established with the support and guidance of the American Democratic Institute, under the slogan "Resolving Conflicts" and was directly linked to the American Embassy and other embassies and a number of international organizations. It played major roles in supporting American-Israeli agendas in Yemen.
He stated that the "Dar al-Salam" organization worked on a large number of different projects and activities that targeted clerics from different sects in Yemen, and sought to enhance what is called religious dialogue and religious and sectarian tolerance among all sects and religions, with the aim of convincing clerics in Yemen to accept the Jewish sect, respect them, tolerate them, and normalize relations with them.
The spy Azan stated that the Dar al-Salam organization implemented a project when he was its executive director, with support and funding from the German Development Agency (GIZ) on the so-called religious tolerance and coexistence in Yemen, directly targeting areas under the authority of Ansar Allah.
He pointed out that the project targeted five clerics who were related to the organization, representing the Zaidi, Shafi'i, Sufi, Salafi and Ismaili sects, and the project aimed to promote the idea of normalization and religious tolerance with Jews.
Missionary networks
The cell's confessions revealed that Zionism has been working for decades on missionary activities and attracting many people and turning them into affiliated elements using several means, including media outlets, various organizations and institutions such as universities, schools, pages and accounts on social media.
The spy Azzan indicated that the missionary organizations operating in Yemen are many and varied, but most of them were organizations affiliated with Protestant institutions or churches in America linked to global Zionism.
