A specialized training course was launched in Dhamar Governorate for agricultural extension workers working in animal health and beekeeping, to raise their efficiency in agricultural extension and value chains and add value to livestock and bee products.
The course, which lasts six and is funded by the Executive Unit for Agricultural Projects, targets 30 agricultural extensionists from agricultural branches and agricultural associations.
The Director of the Agriculture Sector (Dr. Adel Omar) stressed the importance of qualifying agricultural cadres to promote development work and motivate farmers to expand livestock and bee breeding, with an emphasis on preventing the slaughter of females from livestock.
During the course, in the presence of experts in the field, participants will receive specialized knowledge on "breed improvement, animal nutrition, feed cube processing, dairy, and honey value chain", as well as the "importance of epidemiological surveillance" to protect livestock from diseases.
