RAMALLAH July 01. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy forces have launched a raid and search campaign in several areas, villages, and towns in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, arresting a number of citizens, including a university student.
In Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Information Center, enemy forces stormed the town of Kharbatha Bani Harith west of Ramallah city and arrested Birzeit University student Wafa Nimer after raiding her family's home, searching it, and vandalizing its contents.
Student Namer held the position of secretary of the technical committee in the Student Union Council at Birzeit University. Her arrest is part of a campaign that has targeted several students and activists from Birzeit University since October 7th, including the head of the Student Union Council, Abdul Majid Majid Hassan, and two of his successors, as well as other council members.
Enemy forces also arrested a Palestinian after raiding and searching his home in the town of Shuqba, west of Ramallah, and fired gas bombs during their earlier raid into Shuqba the previous night.
Enemy forces stormed the Jalazone camp north of Ramallah and arrested two young men after raiding and searching their homes in the camp.
Enemy forces raided the city of al-Bireh in Ramallah and arrested five Palestinians from Gaza who were staying at the Retno Hotel in al-Bireh, two of whom are cancer patients.
In Qalqilya, a foot patrol from the enemy army raided the vicinity of the main entrance to the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, north of the West Bank, after a Zionist military vehicle was targeted by a homemade explosive device.
In Nablus, enemy forces stormed the town of Beita south of Nablus, the village of Tell southwest of the city, as well as the town of Awarta to the east, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Enemy forces re-arrested the freed prisoner Yahya Nasrallah Asida, who was released in the first exchange deal during the military aggression a few months ago, after raiding his family's home in the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus.
Enemy forces also launched an arrest campaign during their raid into the town of Tell south of Nablus. In Nablus city, enemy forces surrounded the home of freed prisoner Qassem al-Akaleek in the northern mountain area.
In Hebron, enemy forces arrested a young man during a raid into the town of al-Dhahiriya south of Hebron. They also raided the home of life-sentenced prisoner Yasser al-Sharbati and the homes of his relatives in Hebron city.
In occupied al-Quds, enemy forces stormed the town of Anata, northeast of the occupied city, set up military checkpoints, and searched several passersby. They also raided the town of Silwan south of al-Aqsa Mosque, set up additional military checkpoints, searched several citizens, and impeded their movement.
