BETHLEHEM July 15. 2024 (Saba) - Zionist enemy forces, on Monday, demolished a house in Al-Walaja village, northwest of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
Enemy forces stormed the Al-Maqbara neighborhood in the Ain Jwiza area, and demolished a house belonging to the citizen Fadi Abu Rizq, with an area of 85 square metres, the Palestine Today news agency quoted the head of the Al-Walaja Village Council, Khader Al-Araj, as saying.
Since the start of the comprehensive Zionist-American aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in October 2023, and in parallel with the unprecedented destruction of homes, buildings and facilities in the Strip, demolitions of citizens’ homes have escalated, especially in the area called (C), which constitutes about 60 percent of the West Bank area.
Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission show that enemy authorities demolished 318 facilities in the West Bank during the first half of 2024, compared to the demolition of 313 facilities during the entire year of 2023, an indication of an unprecedented escalation of demolitions.
