BERLIN August 17. 2024 (Saba) - The German club Borussia Dortmund has said it achieved the highest annual revenues in its history, reaching 509.1 million euros last season.
According to a club statement on its official website yesterday, the amount, which does not take into account the money resulting from the sale of players, represents an increase of 24 percent over the previous season.
Despite the disappointing fifth place in the German League, Dortmund's arrival to the Champions League final, where they lost to Spanish Real Madrid 0-2, was the main reason behind the club's record income, and the increase in television broadcast revenues and merchandise sales also played a factor in this increase.
