TEHRAN August 24. 2024 (Saba) Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi announced that Iran’s focus will be solely on advancing national interests and upholding the dignity of the Islamic Republic.
He stated, “We will fully commit to supporting the resistance axis and the Palestinian people, with a particular emphasis on Gaza.”
In a statement made during a visit to the shrine of martyr Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Araghchi referenced Operation True Promise, which was a response to Zionist aggression against the Iranian embassy.
He emphasized that Iran’s response effectively countered Zionist crimes and prevented further regional conflict, and affirmed that this approach will continue.
Araghchi highlighted the complete coordination between Iran’s diplomatic and military efforts, noting that diplomacy and military actions are interlinked.
He underscored that retaliation against the Zionists demonstrates the synergy between these two realms.
Regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Araghchi confirmed that negotiations to lift sanctions will proceed until a satisfactory resolution is achieved.
On the topic of nuclear agreement negotiations, he emphasized that there will be no undue delays, and that consultations with relevant parties will continue.
