SANA'A August 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Undersecretary of Sana'a Governorate for Services Affairs - Deputy Chairman of the Emergency Committee in the governorate, Fares Al-Kahali, inspected on Saturday the effects of rainwater torrential rains in several streets and entrances in the new Sana'a district.
The deputy governor and some officials were briefed on the damage in the Hamas neighborhood, Street 24, Al-Shabab neighborhood, Al-Khamseen district, in the new Sana'a district, as a result of the leakage of rainwater into the homes of citizens, in addition to damage to streets and property.
The Undersecretary of the Governorate also briefed on the efforts made by the emergency teams of the Executive Unit for Projects to drain water in Al Thalathin street, Al-Mughni lane, Al-Sawad village. He praised the efforts of all emergency workers in removing the damage and alleviating the suffering of citizens.
He called on citizens to cooperate with emergency teams and facilitate their tasks to ensure that the damage is removed from them as soon as possible. Stressing the keenness to take emergency measures and treatments in removing and repairing the damage and remnants of the floods according to the available capabilities.
Undersecretary Al-Kahali urged citizens to be cautious and take precaution in a way that contributes to the safety of lives, and to stay away from the sites of the collection of rainwater that pose a danger to them and their property, and not to make any developments that would hinder the efforts of the Emergency Committee, and to report an emergency immediately.
He explained that the damage will be counted and submitted to the provincial leadership to take measures to overcome it and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
