MUSCAT August 24. 2024 (Saba) -Muscat Exchange trading last week rose to 9.5 million Omani riyals, compared to 8.5 million in the previous week, recording an increase on 12.4 percent, thanks to investors' embarking upon stocks of leading companies and stock market.

The stock market last week recorded a notable upsurge of over 775,000 riyals compared to 169,000 in the previous week, the Omani news agency said on Saturday.

Number of transactions of last week increased by 7.1 percent - from 2,463 to 2,639 transactions, the agency added, as the Exchange's market value as of the end of last week rose to 24.421 billion riyals, and recorded weekly gains of 27.2 million Omani riyals.
