The 39th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair, which will kick off on April 25 under the slogan "We Read to Build", with the participation of 29 countries, announced that China will be the guest of honor.
The director of the new edition of the fair, Mohamed Saleh al-Qadiri, said at a press conference at the City of Culture, according to Al-Mayadeen, that this year's edition, which runs until May 4, will be attended by 313 exhibitors, 147 from Tunisia and 166 from abroad.
He added that visitors to the exhibition will have access to at least 93,300 book titles and publications, as well as 20 official pavilions for ministries, national, regional , international institutions and others.
He added that China will be represented by 40 publishing houses and about 100 personalities, noting that China's presence will culminate in the conclusion of several bilateral agreements between the two countries within the framework of deepening the partnership and supporting bilateral cultural exchange.
The exhibition program includes about 50 events, including seminars, meetings, evenings, workshops, artistic performances and children's activities.
