BEIRUT August 24. 2024 (Saba) -The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wensland, ignores peoples' right to resistance stipulated in tens of UN resolutions that support national liberation movements' struggle for independence and self-determination, member of Palestine's Islamic Jihad Movement's politburo said on Saturday.
Wensland sees the settlers' aggression and brutal attacks in the West Bank and Quds as "mere violent assault by settlers and just an offense whose repetition is resulted from the lack of legal accountability," Ihsan Ataya added in comments to the UN official's briefing to the UN Security Council.
Wensland justified the enemy army's bombings of schools and shelters and heinous massacres, the last of which was in Tabeen School east Gaza City, he said according to 'Palestine Today' news agency.
By comparing the Palestinian people - whose lands are occupied - to an occupier involved in killing and carnages, Wensland put the victim on the same level as the killer, Ataya added.
