Hamdan: Al-Dhayef is fine & is still at work, practicing his role as Resistance leader

DOHA - SABA :
Osama Hamdan, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, emphasized that the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza Strip do not need new initiatives in order to negotiate them, because all previous projects failed because there is no guarantee that "Israel" will accept them.

He stressed that the coming days will reveal surprises in the West Bank that the Zionist enemy does not want, and that they will drive nails into its coffin.

Hamdan said in a comprehensive interview with Al Jazeera Net, this evening, Sunday: The United States is not exerting real pressure on Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept the American proposals that Hamas has already announced its approval of.

Hamas leader denied that there would be direct negotiations with the United States in isolation from Israel. He said: "We have heard in the media that there is American talk about a direct deal with Hamas, but until now there has been nothing practical, as the Americans have not contacted us directly, nor have they sent anything like that through intermediaries."

He noted that the resistance targeted the occupation army, which oppresses the people, and thus the Palestinians saw it as a means of revenge for the crimes committed against them.

He said: "The resistance knows today that it is better than yesterday, and it is learning in the field how to improve its performance and embrace its people, who always rally around it.

He added that the resistance focused on its objectives against the occupation and did not drift into side battles that provoke a lot of anger and sensitivities against it.

Hamdan denied that the choice of Yahya Sinwar as head of Hamas' political bureau was in response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, "because it was not done in an individual, self-serving way." Rather, there are criteria included in the movement's internal system, and there are conditions that must be met by any leader elected to lead it.

He added: "The current escalation in the West Bank has not succeeded in undermining the resistance activity, and the coming days will reveal that the reality in the West Bank will be completely different from what the occupation wants, and that it will drive nails into the coffin of the occupation.

The Hamas leader referred to the relations of the resistance in Gaza with the Palestinian Authority, and spoke about the political initiative that concerns the priorities of the battle and the mechanism for joint Palestinian action to reach a national consensus government that manages all of Palestine and in which Hamas participates and is part of.

He also touched on the issues of Zionist prisoners held by the resistance and its ability to protect them despite the death of some of them, and the extent of the resistance's steadfastness on the battlefield, in addition to many other issues addressed in the interview.
