MOSCOW - SABA: China has reiterated its desire to strengthen strategic relations with Russia, RT website quoted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as saying during his meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
"China is ready to fully enhance mechanism of Chinese-Russian consultations on strategic security, as well as enhance mechanism of meetings of high-level representatives of BRICS countries on security issues," FM said, stressing that two countries are implementing consensus reached by heads of state, which further strengthens social and political foundation for maintaining permanent good-neighborly relations, comprehensive strategic cooperation, and mutually beneficial and beneficial interaction.
Wang stated that Beijing would continue to help international community form a balanced, objective and rational viewpoint regarding Ukrainian conflict, pointing the need to work to strengthen general consensus for urgent ceasefire and achieve political settlement to crisis in Ukraine.
