Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned on Friday that any "large-scale Zionist military operation" targeting Lebanon would have devastating effects.
In a press briefing on the sidelines of the Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum in St. Petersburg, Zakharova was quoted by Russia Today as saying: "Given the scale of what is happening and its possible repercussions, we are deeply concerned about the dangerous developments in the Lebanese Republic."
She said that yesterday, Zionist enemy aircraft carried out "a series of intensive strikes on a number of areas in southern Lebanon, after Lebanon was exposed for two days to unprecedented terrorist attacks characterized by cyberattacks."
She added: "Photos posted on Ukrainian stations showing the Kursk nuclear power plant were taken from a distance of several kilometers from a Ukrainian drone, which proves that Kiev has not given up on the idea of striking this important facility."
Zakharova emphasized that behind all these crimes of the Kiev regime are primarily the United States and Britain.
Quoting the Russian Red Cross, Zakharova also emphasized that "there are data and evidence that Ukrainian soldiers in the border areas have established a kind of concentration camp, where they are holding local residents who could not leave unsafe areas at gunpoint."
