New York – Saba: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Tuesday that the Zionists cannot afford to turn Lebanon into another Gaza.
Addressing the UN General Assembly, Guterres said that "nothing can justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people," as "the speed and scale of the killing and destruction in Gaza is unlike anything I have witnessed during my years as Secretary-General."
He noted that the enemy Zionist army killed "more than 200 UN staff, many of them with their families."
Guterres called on the international community to mobilize for an immediate ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all prisoners, and the start of an irreversible process towards a two-state solution.
"To those who continue to undermine this goal, through more settlements, more land grabs, more incitement," he asked, what is the alternative? "How can the world accept the future of a one-state with so many Palestinians without any freedom, rights, or dignity?
