The branch of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Hodeida province launched on Thursday the disbursement of cash assistance to those affected by the torrential rains.
The aid targeted 2,957 cases in a number of directorates as part of the relief plan to help families whose houses were severely damaged as a result of the torrential rains that flowed during this season.
The director of the council's branch in the province, Jaber al-Razhi, explained that the aid targeted 1,564 cases in the districts of Jarahi, Sukhna, Zaidiya and Marawah through the Norwegian and Danish Councils' organizations.
He pointed to the distribution of cash assistance in exchange for building shelter for 1,393 affected families through the "Construction Generation" association, in the districts of al-Zahra, Qanous, al-Lahiya, al-Maghlaf, al-Dhahi and Zubaid.
