Hodeida - Saba :
A training course on beekeeping and honey production, organized by the Tihama Development Authority (TDA), began today in Bajil district in Hodeida province.
The six-day course aims to train 80 families of beekeepers in the district, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), as part of a project to support livelihoods and improve economic security for affected families.
At the opening of the course, the director of the directorate, Abdul Moneim Al-Rifai, praised the efforts to organize and support the course, as part of efforts to raise the efficiency of beekeepers in the field of beekeeping and introduce them to the mechanisms of using modern technologies in order to enhance the productivity and quality of Yemeni honey.
He pointed out that many areas in Bajil Directorate have elements that help in beekeeping , honey production, considering the course and the qualification of beekeepers as the right start to take care of this wealth.
Al-Rifai urged the course participants to benefit from the course program and apply it on the ground, stressing the importance of teamwork and competition to raise the beekeeping and production level .
