Beirut - Saba:
Lebanese Hezbollah targeted on Sunday Israeli soldiers in two separate incidents in southern Lebanon.
Artillery shells were fired at a gathering of Israeli forces in the Canaan Heights of Blida, followed by clashes in the western neighborhood of Aita al-Shaab.
Hezbollah reported that its fighters struck the Israeli positions at 3:20 PM and later engaged in intense combat at 4:45 PM, utilizing machine guns, rockets, and artillery.
The clashes are ongoing at the time of reporting the news story.
In a statement, Hezbollah emphasized that these actions are in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and serve to defend Lebanon and its citizens.
The attacks are part of their broader support for the Palestinian resistance against Israeli aggression.
