A meeting at the Agricultural and Fisheries Production Promotion Fund, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, discussed the mechanism for finding and managing financing policies from the Fund's resources to support programs supporting agricultural and fisheries activities.
The meeting touched on national strategies for managing funds through the Agricultural and Fisheries Production Promotion Fund portal, which serves as a window for agricultural, fisheries, and water financing.
At the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture stressed the importance of identifying policies and formulating standards that help benefit from these funds and employ them to serve the agricultural and fisheries sectors and enhance their role in food security.
He pointed out that these mechanisms will have positive effects to serve the implementation and financing of agricultural and fisheries projects and will bear fruit in the service of food security in the country.
Dr. Al-Rubai pointed out the importance of these funds in making a significant impact in optimizing the use and achieving economic return from these available resources to achieve and implement various programs within the framework of the priorities of the senior leadership directives.
He stressed the importance of the ministry's program to support farmers, which includes strengthening agricultural and fisheries lending policies, as these policies aim to support sustainable agricultural and fisheries development and improve infrastructure.
He urged the importance of supporting agricultural and fisheries production inputs and requirements, which ensures that farmers and fishermen can access them without incurring large financial burdens, in addition to encouraging investment in local production of agricultural and fish inputs and reducing dependence on imports.
