Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc and Lebanese parliamentarian, emphasized on Thursday that after a month of ongoing aggression, the enemy has committed numerous atrocities in a bid to undermine resistance in Lebanon.
Fadlallah affirmed the resilience of the Lebanese resistance during a press conference held in parliament.
Fadlallah stated "The crimes against humanity perpetrated by the enemy aim to subjugate Lebanon and erase the concept of resistance from the region.
This war has been meticulously planned over the years." He condemned the enemy's scorched earth tactics, particularly along the borders, where it seeks to establish a buffer zone.
"Their true intention is to make southern Lebanon subordinate to them, but the resistance will thwart this plan," he asserted.
He emphasized that Lebanon's only option is to rely on the resistance, as hopes for international intervention are misguided. "The international community and dominant world powers have not taken action," he noted.
Fadlallah reflected on the enemy's belief that assassinating their leader and committing crimes against civilians would yield victory, but he indicated that the resistance is entering a new phase of defiance.
Calling on the Lebanese people to remain steadfast, he urged them not to succumb to illusions propagated by figures like Netanyahu. "The reality is that the resistance will remain an integral part of Lebanon," he declared.
Fadlallah outlined three lines of action the resistance is pursuing. He reported that, thus far, the enemy has failed to control any village or establish a foothold in the region. He also mentioned that Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Najib Mikati are in negotiations with international envoys to achieve a ceasefire, a matter they are closely monitoring.
Fadlallah reiterated, "What we want today is to stop the aggression against Lebanon."
