Sana'a-Saba:
Merzah Al-Asal
One year after the heroic battle of the "Al-Aqsa flood". The Zionists' dreams of expanding control and intensifying settlement projects in the occupied West Bank, Al-Quds, and the Gaza Strip are still on the rise and have even expanded to include control over parts of Arab countries in the region.
These Zionist dreams, which were declared to the Zionist media by the so-called Minister of Finance of the extremist usurping entity, Bezalel Smotrich, were aborted by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades by an incursion into the Zionist settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip on the seventh of October 2023, and even turned into terrifying nightmares that haunt Zionists everywhere.
The Zionist enemy entity is suffering from a decline in its international legitimacy, a deep internal division, a slowdown in the paths of normalization and regional peace, and its security wall has suffered a strong blow that has deprived the Zionists of a large part of their sense of security, resulting in a wide reverse migration movement.
In this context, activists circulated on social media on Thursday, an old video clip of Zionist Minister Smotrich, in which he says that Israel's borders should extend to include territories from six Arab countries.
At the time, Smotrich was a member of the Knesset (parliament) for the Jewish Home party, which merged in 2023 with the National Union - Tacoma into a single party called "Religious Zionism" and is currently headed by Smotrich.
A recently published documentary revealed the extremist minister's vision of the borders of what has come to be known as "Greater Israel", which, according to Smotrich, includes territories in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, and even Saudi Arabia, as well as extensive settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In this documentary, "Minister of Chaos", broadcast by the French channel Arte by journalists Jeroen Siskbin and Nitzan Perelman, the latter revealed his dangerous vision of "Greater Israel" and its borders. The documentary includes interviews with Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Smotrich said with full confidence and a smiling face: "I want a Jewish state that includes Jordan, Lebanon, and territories from Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia." "For our great sages, Quds was destined to extend as far as Damascus."
Smotrich also said the State of Israel should include the Syrian capital Damascus, Jordan, and parts of Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
He called for the dissolution of the Palestinian Authority and the annexation of all territories in the occupied West Bank to its usurping entity. "The land of (Greater Israel) must now stretch from the sea to the Jordan," he said.
During the same interview, Smotrich asserted, "The structure will be built in our days." The presenter asked, "Will we see the temple while alive?" "Yes, definitely," he replied, "Maybe tomorrow morning."
During the interview with journalist Dana Weiss, Smotrich considered that "a Jew who throws a Molotov cocktail at an Arab (Palestinian) house and kills a child is not a terrorist, compared to an Arab who does something similar." "If an Arab does it as part of his war against the Jewish people and part of his desire to destroy (the State of Israel), then yes - he is a terrorist."
At the end of the interview, he said: "It is written in the books of the wise men (the spiritual and religious leaders of the Jews) that the future of Al-Quds is to extend to Damascus." He concluded: "Only Al-Quds is until Damascus. In short, we have a lot to aspire to." According to him.
One commenter wrote in the interview video, "Their dream was aborted before publicity because in the future they will not be able to maintain the settlements adjacent to Gaza." Israel "has a decade to go and disappear."
In what was written by others. "The dream of 'Greater Israel' and the so-called Temple and the lies of the Jews are all myth and legend, but if the Arabs continue to watch their brothers bomb day and night, their turn will inevitably come," he said.
In June, the New York Times revealed that it had obtained an audio recording of Smotrich confirming that he had a "secret plan" to strengthen Zionist "control" over the occupied West Bank and abort any attempt to be part of a Palestinian state.
Smotrich also appeared, in a speech on March 19, 2023, in the French capital, Paris, with a platform with a nested map between Palestine and Jordan, indicating that "Israel" consists of Palestine and Jordan.
The map is based on the Irgun logo of the National Military Organization in the Land of Israel. This armed group demands that the historic State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Jordan be a Jewish state called Etzel.
In 2022, the government of the Zionist entity approved more than 80 settlement plans in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, in addition to tens of thousands of settlement units.
A recent report by the Palestine Liberation Organization's National Office for Land Defense and Settlement Resistance said: "The policy of the Zionist war government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, which was formed at the end of 2022, approved more than 80 settlement plans in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, in addition to tens of thousands of settlement units."
According to Zionist estimates, more than 720,000 settlers reside in outposts in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem. Settlement activity in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has been on the rise since the current right-wing government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, came to power in December 2022. The United Nations considers settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories "illegal" and warns that it undermines the chances of addressing the conflict according to the principle of a two-state solution, Palestinian and Israeli, and has demanded for decades to stop it to no avail.
The Zionists aspire to build their so-called temple on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem, but it seems that this was "an edifice of fantasy and collapse" due to the battle of the "Al-Aqsa flood" that inflicted heavy losses on the Zionist enemy.
In parallel with the battle of the "Al-Aqsa Flood", the Lebanese Hezbollah opened a support front for Gaza, which resulted in the displacement of about 150,000 Zionists from the northern settlements, which recently developed into a direct field battle between the occupying entity and the party, and Yemen, Iraq, and Iran opened their fronts to occupy the Zionist enemy and destroy its dreams and morale.
The recirculation of Smotrich's old statements comes at a time when the Zionist genocide on Gaza is escalating, in addition to the escalation of attacks in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, occupied by the Zionist enemy army and herds of settlers.
The attacks in the occupied West Bank have resulted in more than 749 martyrs and about 6,000 250 wounded since the seventh of October 2023, and Smotrich often made statements in which he pledged to expand settlements in the West Bank and agreed to establish new settlements.
With American support, the Zionist enemy continues to wage a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinians killed and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than ten thousand missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
In disregard of the international community, the Zionist enemy continues its massacres in Gaza, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide.
Many observers agree that Hamas thwarted Israel's plan, decided to launch a blitzkrieg and destructive war on the besieged Strip, and the resistance attack came to confuse all the cards and drag Israel into the box of reaction and attrition accumulated and rolling humanly, militarily and economically, leading to the inevitable demise, God willing.
