Sana'a - Saba:
The Educational Office in al-Sabeen district in the capital Sana'a on Monday held a cultural event marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali, under the slogan "Whoever Loves Life Lives in Humiliation."
The event aimed to revive the legacy of Imam Zaid as a symbol of resistance and spiritual awakening. Educational District Director Taj al-Din al-Kebsi emphasized that commemorating this occasion serves as a source of faith, clarity, and a call to sacrifice in the path of righteousness, defending religion, the oppressed, and sacred sites against the enemies of the Ummah.
Al-Kebsi warned of the dangers of ignorance and how it can mislead people, paving the way for tyrants and oppressors to dominate society. He stressed the importance of upholding Islamic identity and maintaining a strong connection to the Holy Qur’an while following the principles of Imam Zaid.
He also called upon the public to take responsibility for the faith and its causes, citing Imam Zaid's revolutionary spirit, ethics, and unwavering dedication to justice. He encouraged attendees to stand against conspiracies and show solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine.
Cultural activist Abu Kenan al-Qadi described the event as an educational and motivational moment to reflect on the legacy of Imam Zaid—ally of the Qur’an—and the enduring struggle of the nation's icons in proclaiming the word of God and confronting oppression.
He underscored the critical need for today’s Islamic world to embrace its guiding figures and strengthen spiritual insight to face adversaries targeting Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
