Gold prices reached their highest level globally, reaching $2,700 an ounce for the first time ever, driven by concerns over the U.S. elections.
Spot transactions saw a 0.5% increase to $2706.76 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures increased by 0.5% to $2722.00.
