Coordination Unit for oversight agencies, public prosecution approves its work program for year 1446 AH

Sana'a - Saba:

The Joint Coordination Unit for Oversight Agencies and the Public Prosecution held a meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Raidan al-Mutawakel, Vice Chairman of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, where it approved its work program for the year 1446 AH.

The meeting focused on discussing the work program, which outlines the tasks and activities designed in line with leadership directives and coordination oversight priorities.

The program incorporates the coordination mechanisms established for oversight bodies and the Public Prosecution, as outlined by the Attorney General of Public Funds Prosecutions in the decision of the President of the Supreme Political Council No. (93) of 2020 AD.

This framework aims to facilitate and expedite coordination among oversight bodies, the prosecution, and other entities within the coordination unit, in accordance with relevant laws. It also follows the decision of the President of the Supreme Political Council No. (35) of 1444 AH, which adopted the General Code of Conduct and Work Ethics for Public Service Units.

The program includes practical steps for implementing the oversight mechanisms developed during the year 1444 AH. It specifies the necessary procedures for each task and activity, assigns responsible individuals for implementation and supervision, and sets timelines based on the nature of the tasks.

The objectives of the program are to address corruption and public fund cases, combat illicit gains, and establish mechanisms to expedite their resolution.

It aims to enhance oversight work among agencies to effectively prevent corruption, protect public funds and the national economy, and ensure the successful implementation of development projects as part of the National Strategy for Combating Corruption (2022-2026) and its interim plans. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to correcting imbalances and reducing corruption within state institutions.
