Amran - Saba:

A training workshop for local leaders and the central development work team concluded on Tuesday in Amran province. The event was organized by Bunyan Development Foundation and Bunyan Academy for Training and Rehabilitation.

The three-day workshop aimed to equip 26 local administrative leaders in executive offices with skills related to the mechanisms and policies for enhancing and developing integrated development work, construction, and rehabilitation to improve performance and promote sustainable local development.

The workshop sought to introduce community participation processes, train and qualify development advocates, and enhance their capabilities in service work. It aimed to activate the roles and responsibilities of relevant authorities to better serve citizens and alleviate their hardships by meeting essential basic needs.

At the conclusion of the workshop, which was attended by province undersecretary Amin Furas, Amran Governor Dr. Faisal Jumaan emphasized the significance of the workshop in enhancing the efficiency and capacity of the development work team. He highlighted its role in preparing studies and implementing development plans that benefit local development and cooperative initiatives.

Dr. Jumaan underscored the importance of strengthening community participation in service and development sectors, mobilizing resources to achieve sustainable local development. He discussed the tasks expected of the workshop participants in fostering cooperative work, urging them to utilize the knowledge and skills gained during the workshop to implement development plans and official cooperative work programs effectively.

He reaffirmed the support of the province leadership and local councils for all efforts and activities that contribute to development, which in turn strengthens the internal front and social cohesion, enhancing resilience against challenges.

The governor urged trainees to apply what they learned in the workshop to their official development and service activities, aligning them with the plans and programs outlined in the workshop's matrix and the cooperative work development document.

Anwar al-Hakimi, acting Dean of Bunyan Academy, noted that participants acquired valuable knowledge and skills in volunteer work, resource development, and community initiatives across various developmental levels.
