The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that its forces have taken control of four towns in Donetsk and eliminated 15,630 Ukrainian soldiers over the past week.
In a statement detailing military operations from October 19 to 25, the ministry reported that Russian forces conducted 42 strikes against Ukrainian positions, targeting military industrial complexes, airports, ammunition depots, and drone facilities.
According to the report, Russian "North" forces accounted for the elimination of 2,720 Ukrainian soldiers, as well as the destruction of ten tanks, 74 armored vehicles, 47 artillery pieces, 11 electronic warfare stations, one radar station, and four ammunition depots.
The "West" forces reportedly captured the town of Novosadovoye in Donetsk and repelled 20 attacks, resulting in 3,180 Ukrainian casualties and the destruction of one tank, 11 armored vehicles, 30 artillery pieces, six electronic warfare systems, and eight ammunition depots.
Russian "South" forces regained control of the towns of Zoryanoe and Serebryanka, repelling 11 attacks and causing 5,410 Ukrainian casualties, along with the loss of numerous armored vehicles, 37 artillery pieces, 11 ammunition depots, and five electronic warfare stations.
Additionally, the "Center" forces captured Nikolaevka in Donetsk, repelling 72 Ukrainian attacks, resulting in 3,130 Ukrainian casualties, as well as the destruction of armored vehicles and 35 artillery pieces. The "East" forces reinforced their positions, with Ukrainian losses amounting to 750 personnel and additional destruction of artillery and armored vehicles.
The statement further noted that the "Dnepr" forces eliminated 440 Ukrainian soldiers, along with various vehicles and artillery pieces. Russian defenses claimed to have shot down a MiG-29 fighter, three guided bombs, and 39 HIMARS missiles, in addition to intercepting 521 Ukrainian drones.
