Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani has confirmed that Iran's defence budget will triple from March 21, 2025.
In a press conference on Wednesday, Iran's ISNA news agency quoted Mohajerani as saying: ‘In the budget, which should cover all the country's expenses, all efforts were directed to meet the country's defence needs.’
She added: ‘Special attention was paid to this topic, so we are witnessing a significant increase in the military budget by more than 200 per cent.’
